No offense to anyone else, but the biggest name of the fourteen has to be Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, who has 7,535,000 chips; the group also includes John Racener, William Thorson, Alexander Kostritsyn, Joseph “subiime” Cheong and Matt “McMatto” Affleck. Other non-2+2 members still in are David Benyamine, Johnny Lodden, Jacobo Fernandez, Hasan Habib, David "not Bakes" Baker and Jean-Robert Bellande. Mizrachi is the lone surviving Mizrachi brother left in the tournament. Two-time Main Event champion Johnny Chan and “last woman standing” Breeze Zuckerman were eliminated during day 6.

There are two players remaining that can break Joe Cada's record for youngest main event champion - Michal Wywrot and Michiel Sijpkens.

Top ten stacks entering day 7:

9,300,000 - Theo Jorgensen
7,535,000 - Michael Mizrachi
7,200,000 - John Racener
6,570,000 - Jonathan Driscoll
6,525,000 - William Thorson
6,125,000 - Matthew Jarvis
5,950,000 - Edward Ochana
5,715,000 - Alexander Kostritsyn
5,650,000 - Cuong Nguyen
5,555,000 - Joseph Cheong

No former WSOP ME champions remain in the field:
(Eliminated on day 6 - Chan)

No non-champion final tablists from the last five MEs remain in the field.

Two 2010 WSOP bracelet winners remain:

1950000 - Pascal Lefrancois
1793000 - Michael Mizrachi
(Eliminated on day 6 – Berda, Gordon, Keikoan)

No women remain in the field.
(Eliminated on day 6 – Zuckerman)

Eleven 2+2 members (without chip counts, alphabetical order by first name, based on original lists prepared by abracadabrab as updated by amfox) remain:

- Adam Levy (Roothlus)
- Bryn Kenney (BrynKenney)
- Christopher Bolt (cbolt21)
- Eric Baldwin (basebaldy)
- Jason Senti (PBJaxx)
- Joseph Cheong (subiime)
- Matt Affleck (mcmatto)
- Michal Wywrot (wywrot)
- Peter Jetten (Apathy)
- Scott Clements (BigRiskky)
- Tony Dunst (Bond18)

(Eliminated on day 6 – BlackFours, ceegee, charder30, Cre8tive, dpeters17, Fayth, Foucault, GBecks, gettym, iggymcfly, jambon, jman, MI_Turtle, m_reed05, Panny1, PrimordialAA, randyd501, Scotty_12, swollen1, swordfish007, VPIP100, ZBTHorton, zima421)

With two days to go until the final table, the schedule to get to the final table is as follows:

Day 7 - 78 to 27 (65% player loss)
Day 8 - 27 to 9 (67% player loss)

none of those names are going to capture the public's imagination though. I'm sure ESPN are not overly delighted with the names left. The one exception is Mizrachi but even that's stretching it

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I keep hearing about how Grinder has to take down the ME to SHARE the POY award. How is this possible? Is it based on number of cashes? $ won? (but how much did you lose?) some calculation of results per events entered? If a guy can win the $50k and the ME and not be clear cut POY, then they need to throw the formula out the window and start over.

From what we've been reading about the action, I don't think ESPN will have any trouble bulding shows revolving around jrb.

Not sure how it's calculated but Kassela has 2 bracelets (1 in a 10k event) plus 3rd in the $25k and 3 further cashes (including the ME); 3 of the 6 cashes are for 6 figures - This is only Mizrachi's 5th cash, and all except the $50k were for 5 figures or less

btw i hate these shows around players when people start talkin about the dead of there grandma and stuff likes this. and than these typical stuff like "im gonna win this for you mum" and looking in the sky. so plastic! and people tell how they had problems in school and how tough there life was with tears in the eyes. i mean if theres someone with a really big story, ok. but most of the time its just shame.

but many americans like the drama, i know...

POY points system doesn't look at $$ won. It's strictly based on where you finished in a tourney.

The Grinder would be huge for ESPN imo. He will already be on ESPN for the Players Championship, plus the story of his other 3 brothers all cashing as well. Personally, I am rooting for basebaldy just for the Wisconsin factor.

I always get the feeling these guys should be on extreme make over home edition rather than the WSOP....

Theo Jorgenson is a sicko....love to see him final table this...theres no reason why the final table shouldn't have a healthy amount of pros....might be some good poker for a change....can't get worse than last year
