Do you feel like a Scandinavian? Finnish is close to the languages spoken in the Baltic area. But economic and society wise Finland is more like the Scandiavian countries. Except for the immigration politics of course.

Those who wish that Finland was more like Sweden and more integrated to European Union and it's ideologies see Finland as part of Scandinavia.

I do consider myself a scandinavian like most finns do. Its true our language is totally different from our nordic neighbors but lifestyle and (mostly) the politics are pretty similar. I do wish we had our own Princess Madde though ...and i like our immigration politics just fime
