Maybe add a bit of trash talking and now you have something that would actually be entertaining for people to watch and try out themselves.
This feels like you are talking about the 2015 final table rather than 2016. I recently re-watched all the final tables since the airing it live era (2011 on) and only the 2015 table fits this description. Every other year has good entertainment value and the only really nitty play is at the very beginning with 9 left but that's somewhat to be expected.

In general, I would like the idea of a very flat payout for the top3.Pay less % of field, reward Final Table, reward strong play(or good run^^) on final table but even out variance of shorthanded play...exponential curve that flattens out at top...

WSOP Main obv a different Animal and very special...
sure there should be more mincashes than in online mtt....regarding final table and my top 3 approach I would suggest something like

9 1mio
8 1,2mio
7 1,4mio
6 1,7mio
5 2,5mio
4 3,3mio
3 4mio
2 4,5mio
1 5mio

I'd make the bubble person (probably a guy but maybe a grill) get 5x their BI then every person after in the lowest tier get 1.5 BI - then the tourney would be 1 day shorter.

I want to see some sick 900k pay jump ICM dynamic with 100 players remaining. Let's see all those preflop AA folds.
