The last I checked... Online poker still involved real money.

Damn dude, you just might've hit the bullseye!

Guess there might be more fish at UB when informed regulars use their consumer power and moves their action to reputable sites, however I believe it's a gamble to keep money at shady sites. Personally I was close to deposit money at the shady ongame skins think it was futurebet run sites because they offered a great deal, glad I didn't.

As there will always be cheating when money is involved I think it's important that the poker community takes a tough stance against cheaters and those who are not taking the problem seriously. Look at other sports and performance inceasing substances it's even an issue for american sports like baseball and american football now, the problem will probably always be around but cheaters and those who aid them are getting banned and punished.

Have a great days and use your consumer power!

Can anyone explain how or why this violates their terms of agreement?

I dont see how they're misrepresenting themselves, or the product that they are offering.

me and my bro in law did this like 3 years ago when I first started playing. We shared the account, played several tables each at the same time. If one person was in a tourney and the other logged in, the other person took over control, lol

If you are watching a table when you aren't logged in, then log in as the account at the table, you can continue to watch said table. If you're both logged in, and he is playing a tournament, and you click on the table, it will take you to the tournament table and you will take over. His screen will be frozen, as if someone is deciding on what to do.

If he is playing at a cash game, if you click on the table it will say "insert screen name" is playing at this table already. Wait lists, as well as announcements of a tournament starting that you are playing at, and how many ultimatepoints you earned at a table, appear on both your computers.

Its amazing that in all of these posts, I don't think any of the people getting in a frenzy see the real problem. I had heard of this before and didn't think much of it. Pretty sure you can view the table and watch the other guy logged in play, but I don't believe you get to see their hole cards. If this is the case, then really cheating isn't a big concern. Whats worse is that you can be hacked while online at UB. Some people leave pokerstars on 24-7 so that no one can attempt to log in. There have been suggestions that FTP allow the same. Now at UB you can be logged on and playing at a table, while a hacker chipdumps under your username to someone else. You log off the tables, and check your balance and all you have left is what you took off the tables. You email support and suddenly the rest vanishes before your eyes.

If someone has obtained your username/password with malicious intent, i can promise you that leaving your account on overnight wont keep you safe.

This doesnt pose any new security risk. It isn't exploitable. And it doesnt violate their terms of agreement to my knowledge.

It's nothing.

There are so many other better reasons to avoid UB.

Hard to imagine that anyone who plays poker seriously would keep any amount of money on this site.

software blows, support blows, waitlists bug out all the time, on and on and on...

just add this one to the list
