yea you can do this...and guess what ITS CHEATING...the fact that the software allows this is ridiculous

you're really embarrassing yourself thinking this isn't a big deal

bottom line is, UB is just as bad as AP and should not be used..honestly, any US players keeping more then 1% of their net worth on a site other then fulltilt or stars really has poor judgement

After watching him play for a few minutes.... seems like you can access the same table.

actually, i would prefer all the 2ers and good players bounce from my stomping ground. but, as bison once said, i would rather be right than happy. ultimately, i get annoyed when ppl spring to their high horse for something thats harmless.

so far, one person has put a way that this could be exploited and, its obv rare that circumstances would align for it to work. further, essentially the same action is easily done on any other site on the net as well.

but hey, have fun with yalls moral outrage.

Saw this on Nat's blog. Look at the names on the table.

example of how to exploit flaw.

Quote:
or one, you can be multitabling a cash game against someone, and playing 3 different people on the same screen name, making it impossible to form a read
reason this is possible anywhere.

victor, serious question...do you work for or have any affiliation with ultimatebet? i'm not asking this rhetorically to be a dick, i honestly want to know

yes it is possible for two people to sit in the same room and take turns, but that is cheating and against the rules of most sites...just because you can do it does not make it right

the scenario you described and what ultimatebets software allows you to do, are not entirely the same

multiple players sitting in the same room taking turns is different then 3 different players all playing on the screen name at the same time across different tables...mostly because on multiple tables, you are cheating in more hands and furthering your illegal edge

both are disgustingly unethical and while ub cant stop players from taking turns, they can easily change the software to eliminate this glitch

what benefit does it serve to keep it in the software?

So can you see the hole cards of the other logged-on you? Because if so, this could be how the superuser on UB was doing it. If you have access to the software, it's not hard to get the unencrypted password. Assuming UB even encrypts the passwords in their DB.

this is very logical

it has been fairly common for players to get their passwords fished by keyloggers

normally the keyloggers try transferring the money out and the site is alerted

however, the keylogger could make much more money by signing on as their opponent on another computer thus making them a superuser

that makes alottt of sense

Yeah, I know it is a completely different situation than the one the OP described. But it is still funny and just another example of UB's long line of security flaws....

CAPS LOCK, FROM MY EXPERIENCE NO YOU CANT SEE THE OTHER PERSONS CARDS OR EVEN ACCESS THE SAME TABLE.

IF YOU ARE ALREADY LOGGED IN AND AT A TABLE, AND THEN LOG IN FROM A DIFFERENT COMPUTER AND TRY TO OPEN THAT TABLE, GUESS WHAT, IT WONT OPEN.

LALALALALALALAALLALALALALALALAALALLALAA

BURN UB DOWN.

Not a keylogger, but an inside person at UB who has your password. Then when he's playing against you, he logs on as you from another computer and looks at your hole cards.

yea both ways would accomplish the same thing...im just trying to hope it isnt that easy for site employees to get our passwords that easily

So... why do people even THINK about playing at UB or AP anymore?

Seriously, honest question. In the wake of the JJ scandal, and the heightened security issues, why would any decent player have a penny on either site?

It's almost like you are stupid enough to deserve to be cheated.

Oh speaking of - Good luck, Victor.

Anyone notice your username is still on the "online" section of Ultimate Buddy, even when youre logged off?...(i hadnt used my account in a month or so, went to a buddies house - he pulled up Ultimate Buddy - and there was my username - highlighted as "online"....thats actually happened to me a lot. My name is never actually on a table - but it is online...a lil confusing - but I just shrug it off (since I dont actually have much on there anyway)

Also - I think Ultimate Buddy is a great option to have - and all major poker sites should think about getting this.
