You know, different people exists?

Its not ''2+2 bashes JRB and then 2+2 is in awe that he comes and posts here''

its simply different people with different opinions. 2+2 isnt a team or a political party.

Oh, I remember you from Survivor: China. I don't know if it was just the way the production cut the interviews, but the way you talked about poker was pretty laughable. It seemed like you were either mystifying the whole thing to make it more compelling for the camera, or you just didn't have a clue what you were talking about.

I guess most of your money comes from owning night clubs?

I don't think the reality show will sell. It'll be a lot of fun though. It's gotta be pretty much impossible not to get laid repeatedly when you've got a camera crew following you around Vegas.

Wrong.

IF Phil Ivey was being dealt only two cards in Omaha and losing...everyone would know it wasn't Phil Ivey.

i suggest that you bring the immortal frank flowers into the fray. At least consider it. He lives a similar lifestyle, and has some serious hustle and personality. Hell he has his own hate thread on nvg and that's pretty much a pre-req for being captivating

i forget if you 2 hate each other or not.

Listen, JR can take it and he can 'AND DOES' sure the hell give it. He is always one to needle someone runnin bad or whatever. I remember last year when he took his horrid beat b/c the night before he was coming back from dinner break & I was in line for the Penn & Teller show with a bunch of friends and he went out of his way to ask me why I was going into the show and that the tournament wasn't played in there until the Final Table & seemed to get a huge kick out of trying to make me look bad and it's all good b/c karma is a beeotch. Seriously though I like JR and can give and take it myself. Think of Bobby as Mike Matusow on steroids. Fwiw, bobby can play all games( I don't know his best or worst games) and has been around a long time... If you can make some $ from someone making fun of you I say go for it and GL kid.

Jean-Robert,

Explain how you live like a millionaire please? I have heard you say this before and heard others say it, but I question the truth of it. Does traveling to various casinos around North America to hang out with fat, smelly, socially inept degenerates qualify as living like a millionaire, or is there more to the story?

I am not familiar with JR so I can't have an opinion on him

that being said, the hate in this thread has been exceptionally well executed. Well done.

More like Phil Hellmuth or Mike Matusow, where you make people love to hate you.

It is what it is, just roll with it. It will be much easier to accept it and cash in on it than it will be for you to try to change your personality to become 'cool and interesting' as opposed to 'LOL what a douche' entertaining.

OBV you should do the pilot. OBV you will make a fool of yourself further if it gets done. But also, I think it will be a hit, and you'll make a lot of money, and it will be good for the game. So do it.

The fact that you portray yourself as a know-it-all and bigger than life makes people hate you more.

You need to realize that you built up your image for money-marketing and you got it. Congratulations, reap what you sow. No one will feel pity for you because instead of being a poker player (silent and meek) you marketed yourself to be a "villain", one that berates other people and shows no respect to others. You got all the TV cameras following you and endorsement deals that you could get by playing off your "image". No one is going to feel sorry for you because you were never humble.

There are hundreds of players on these boards that would gladly accept to play you HU at any time and these players don't get their fame because they choose to be humble and meek and not go after the cameras.

You are not in the top echelon of poker players, but you act like you are, and then you wonder why people hate your demeanor. It's not so hard to see, Bobby, people love to see a hated (in their mind) person go down.
JR should be taking notes from these two. WP.

It seems to me like JR's (table) image is solidified. Now it's time to manoeuvre and maximize on it.

Hyperbole (pronounced /haɪˈpɝːbəli/ hye-PER-buh-lee; "HYE-per-bowl" is a common mispronunciation) comes from ancient Greek "ὑπερβολή" (meaning excess or exaggeration) and is a figure of speech in which statements are exaggerated. It may be used to evoke strong feelings or to create a strong impression, but is rarely meant to be taken literally.

Hyperbole is used to create emphasis. It is a literary device often used in poetry, and is frequently encountered in casual speech. It is also a visual technique in which a deliberate exaggeration of a particular part of an image is employed. An example is the exaggeration of a person's facial feature in a political cartoon.
