I just watched the whole segment and Berkey, and the other guys, actually broke it down very well and made some excellent observations and points.
It is definitely worth watching the whole segment if you are a live player at any stakes, not just at high stakes.
To your point specifically, he said that the cage person, production crew and security guards would all potentially have knowledge of whether the player left with / is leaving with cash or not.
He did ruin the segment a little at the end with his fire the staff one by one strategy to work out who the culprit of an inside job is.
It makes no sense what he said because a) It is not always an inside job and b) More than one staff member and/or category of staff member could be involved in an inside job.
There are other obvious reasons regarding permutations of the staff, which staff are on duty when, and the timings of when (which date and/or time) crimes take place, that make
his sacking of selective staff idea preposterous.
E.g. You fire a specific cashier after two parking lot robberies happen in a relatively short period of time, the robberies then stop for a while. Well maybe he/she had nothing to do with it, it was a security guard, who then just takes a break from arranging the robberies then starts again. Or it was the cashier and the security guard both doing it, so you fire the cashier and the robberies continue. Berkey, "darn it we fired an innocent person".
Berkey is no doubt also a fan of the ducking stool.
In medieval times until the early 18th century, ducking was a way used to establish whether a suspect was a witch. The ducking stools were first used for this purpose but ducking was later inflicted without the chair. In this instance the subject's right thumb was bound to her left big toe. A rope was tied around the waist of the accused and she was thrown into a river or deep pond. If she floated, it was deemed that she was in league with the devil, rejecting the baptismal water. If she sank, she was "cleared, and dead"
I think Berkey is one of these people who is incredibly intelligent a lot of the time, but pretty stupid some of the time.

Reason: I wanted to use the word preposterous!
