I believe there are more than those 2 possibilities. I believe one can over come addiction and be label something else. Freedom from addiction.

Amaya happened. Rake, Chests, Casino, Sports Betting, No more HU.

Pokerstars support was the pinnacle of Customer Service. Now Amaya is squeezing to earn all the $$$ possible until the end of online poker.

i havent heard from support in over a month... knowing addiction its probably not a good sign

Stars recently got recently got aquired by flutter, a very large gambling company from Ireland.
maybe this has something to do with it. Possibly going thru a manager changes or all employees just dont listen to there new/ current bosses haha.

I don't get why people are still playing on that room. Stars is a thing of the past, it's gone.

Just as a comparison, I reported an offensive screen name at micro stakes cash on Party at 7am GMT and received a personalised response by 7.30am. Emailed Stars 3 weeks ago regarding software issues and haven't had a response. Seems like unless you know Fintan or Spraggy you're worthless to them.

888 doesn’t respond to hand history requests for a month, Stars is bad but there is much worse support in this industry

What should be a huge concern is how the lack of support translates to game security because if support isn’t proactively checking security pop ups you can be damn sure they are not proactively checking on their own when they can’t even respond to a simple question that requires inly a template response.

PokerStars "revoked my playing privileges"

Eventually I got this e-mail that explained that it was to do with responsible gambling because I was playing more than normal (this is true, although nowhere near what I used to, or some other people do)

It says that it was done out of "an abundance of caution" until they heard back from me.

Tbh, I don't really have a problem with them doing this, as long as they are fairly quick in re-opening the account.

But, guess what, they have heard back from me, and they have done nothing about my account, which remains locked for play (I can still withdraw/transfer, not sure about deposit).

And they don't reply by e-mail, or twitter

Pretty much ready to give up on PS and play elsewhere now (not that it looks like I have much choice)

yeah been waiting multiple weeks now for them to remove an old withdrawal method, couple of emails, twitter DM and still nothing...

For balance, I had a back-and-forth with support and got replies pretty quickly (regarding a popup proclaiming prohibited SW was running - been out of poker for a while and didn't realise HM1 was banned). Took several emails to get a straight answer but no worse than a lot of other support teams. And a couple of friends signed up and were temp banned (presumably while running security checks) but cleared to play within the hour.

I don't particularly like the site/games these days but can't complain about response times.
