They will respond when you have sent precisely 23 emails, no more, no less. I believe that is stated in their terms of service specifically for people who seek to change to the .uk client.

Try writing a letter of complaint and posting it to the Isle of Man Gambling Supervisory Commission, ask for a hearing and then go to Helen Waite for a designated hearing date. Tell them you posted on 2+2.

Lol I’m no saint, but I have been on stars since 2006 if I didn’t make a small fib I wouldn’t have been able to get my money out but to close my account forever is harsh. I can accept 6 month ban or even a year but my whole life. That’s extreme . Everyone deserves a 2nd chance. The punishment was harsh. But whatever I don’t care much 4 online poker anyways it’s so hard to win now, not worth my time. Rather go play soft live games than online but this virus stopped that. Had an itch 4 gambling so I had to make a new account on GG. Hopefully a new site comes and start taking market shares from LoLPS. Lol stop money laundering I’m so sure, more like they want to rake you till death.

didnt Stars support get oursourced a while ago? That would explain a lot. Also, I suspect that many people itt are winning players, which means that Stars is actively trying to discourage them from playing, I am sure that big whales get perfect support

I was interviewing for a job at Pokerstars (not specifically support) a couple of years ago and during the screening call the interviewer was basically trying to convince me that winning players are a negative for the site and in ideal circumstances should be discouraged from playing on the platform. Needless to say I didn't get the job.

No, it happened in 2016-2017. My Facebook feed was full of friends getting laid off through that time, I think that PokerStars laid off around 1,500 staff globally during that time period - Sydney, Costa Rica and London support offices have all been shut down now.

I think you'll find that those staff in the Isle of Man office did not work in the Support/Operations teams.

If you tell a poker/gambling site that you have a gambling problem.they have no option but to suspend your account.
If they dont they would lose their license.
Goverments are clamping down.
Very soon (its started already) players wont be able to use sites, unless they provide the site with proof of earnings .
Sites that let players use their sites without prividing that proof, will have their license taken away.

jfound,
Read through your posts ITT and try to comprehend how utterly stupid you are. From what you're describing, support did absolutely nothing wrong. Also, you're definitely a compulsive gambler (and liar?).

But yeah, Stars support is awful! jfound should consider himself lucky that he's in the minority of customers being taken care of properly.

Wtf you talking about, banning for life is not fair. I understand banning me 1 year, 2 years but life come on. I am not an addicted gambler, I know my limits. I can go weeks without playing poker.

Gambling addiction, like all addictions, is a lifelong struggle to overcome. One does not simply kick the habit then casually gamble whenever it feels like the fun thing to do. Once an addict, always an addict. A request to be banned with gambling addiction as the reason will, and should, last a lifetime.

You've further cemented in my mind that you actually are addicted to gambling and that Stars for once acted accordingly and correctly. Your last sentence didn't exactly convince me of the contrary

Well that’s your opinion and I know myself better than you know me. One can overcome addiction but takes lots of work. You are ignorant if you think one will always be an addict.. Might take awhile to over come addiction but it’s possible.

Ever wonder why some call themselves (the otherwise contradictory title) "sober alcoholic"? Go read some studies on addiction and get back to me on that one.

Something makes me think you're also lying about your being on Stars since 2006. That would make you in your thirties, at the very least. Hmmm...

I’m 32-33 and man you are just ignorant if you don’t think people can overcome addictions.

At your age one would think you'd know it's in bad taste to put words in other people's mouths.

Allow me to chuckle as I imagine you describing me as ignorant.

Mister perfect knows everything...... You type a lot of BS! I was addicted to weed and I don't use it anymore. Now it's only crack cocaine. You are inhuman when you say you can't be addicted. I bet you can only point your finger the other way.

Regardless of whether you have overcome it or not, regulators require gaming companies to be committed to responsible gaming. A company allowing back a player with a admitted gambling problem, could lead to them losing their license.

So yeah, they will not let you back on ever. And using this case as an example of Support going downhill is hardly fitting.

Meh I don’t really care but like I said a ban of a couple of year is fine but not a lifetime. I’m actually a lifetime winner at stars, I’m addicted to winning. They honest ban me more cause I’m a winner and I said their CEO was a scammer.

There is a distinction between being an addict and being addicted. A sober alcoholic is an addict in lifelong recovery. Although not addicted, the risk of relapse is extremely high, so s/he has to constantly tread carefully in order to not fall back into active addiction.

For the record, I've never said you can't be addicted and have no idea why you mention that.

You're not receptive to what people are informing you; instead you're acutely obtuse. Very much like an active addict.

I'm done discussing the subject as it's off topic and leading nowhere.

You are right. My excuse: I was high on cocaine. But I assumed it. Because it is pretty negative what you said. Anyway, this is indeed off topic.
