I did, and I certainly didn't get the impression that everything he did was a bit. I can only assume the narcissism and expletive-laden tirades are part of the genuine limon experience

And I don't have an issue with vices in the sense that you seem to be using the word, I also smoke/drink/do drugs/gamble. Tons of people on here do those things. I would also imagine a lot of people on here have mental health issues that they might use vices in an attempt to cope with, but I don't imagine most of those people tend to make it a problem for others on the forum

I feel bad for the guy because despite his significant intellect, drive, wit, and what seem to be innumerable successes in life, he's still miserable. As far as I can tell, he's miserable because he has untreated mental health issues that he's abusing alcohol to "manage." But I don't say that I feel bad for him to be sanctimonious or anything like that, I say I feel bad for him because I know firsthand how awful it is to live that way. Especially if he truly has narcissistic personality disorder, they're some of the most miserable people alive if untreated. Really true for any cluster B personality disorder

Talking about the vicious insults that got the thread locked Druff. Not talking about the narcissistic or political stuff, or the stupid crime derail. It is a well thread, so by definition it is a narcissistic exercise and Limon didn’t even brag that much or come off as pedantic as past wells on here, and that is really saying something. Go look at the wells of Aejones, raptor or Todd Terry(RIP) or other wells where someone says they are god’s gift to poker.

Again whitemares, take the mental health talk somewhere else, please. I will happily read your mental health posts on why we shouldn’t read the very funny ramblings of a miserable person if you can you entertain this forum with poker stories. Can you tell us some stories about Pat Walsh or Youngman or anything else that is poker/gambling related? That would really help my mental health and you can just post them in this thread as a response, thanks!

Whitemares, you have 5700 posts since 2014, you must have some hilarious gambling stories you can tell, that also don’t make you miserable. Maybe you can share them with us, and we will be happy and of sound mind. Please, send us some stories because happy, well adjusted people with no substance abuse issues have so many entertaining stories.

Back before Katrina, I was down in Biloxi playing BJ. Just me and Dr J were at the table..
I got 2 As and dealer had an A and checked for BJ and didn't have it.
I split my As and got 2 10s. Dealer turned over her hole card and it was a 10.
I lost both hands with 2 21s. They only took my original bet.

It's kind of bizarre to me that you think his obvious mental health issues should be completely ignored just because he's an interesting guy. If there is a discussion about limon, 2 things will inevitably come up - 1, his status as a prolific figure in the gambling word, as well as the tales that accompany that, and 2, his obvious mental health and substance abuse issues. The latter is why he no longer has a thread or account on either 2p2 or reddit, so I don't know why you think it just shouldn't be brought up whatsoever

Less talk, more gambling stories please. It will help my mental health and substance abuse issues. Also, if you didn’t realize posters with a sub 2010 join date have more issues than post 2010, you win the 2p2 lottery and the prize is to tell more entertaining gambling stories.

As you've mentioned, I've got my own forum. I post on 2+2 when I feel like it, but I'll never be a reliable regular here. I was gone for a long time because Mason kept banning me for extremely silly reasons (much sillier than Limon's current ban). I came back when the new owners took over.

My forum is actually a mostly free speech place. Much more than 2+2. I wouldn't have locked or banned a thread like limon's. However, I also wouldn't have tolerated a user telling me to F off when I give him guidance about the site rules. You need to show at least a modicum of respect to whomever is running the place you're visiting.

I don't care about Limon's politics. I've debated him at times on Twitter regarding political matters, but it was impossible to have a serious discussion with him, because he immediately degenerated into simplistic one-liners and insults. Limon isn't a dumb guy, but he has the emotional IQ of a 4-year-old, and that won't ever change.

I'm a conservative, but I have several liberal friends, and I've never once taken it personally when someone has a different political view than I do.

I don't even think Limon understands why he's politically liberal. His entire message seems to be advice regarding self sufficiency, picking yourself up by your bootstraps, making your own luck, and not making excuses for failure. These are generally conservative principles, yet the guy has the worst case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) I've ever seen, and he would definitely fellate Biden if given the chance. I think at some point when he was much younger, someone taught him that Democrats were the good guys and Republicans were the bad guys, and he never bothered to question it.

I've spoken to far-left Democrats before with whom I have nothing in common politically, but at least they can articulate their worldview, with their politics matching their personality and life philosophy. Limon's politics don't even match what he seems to generally believe. It's very weird, but introspection has never been the guy's strong point.

This is the “wtf happened to the limon thread” thread, not the “entertaining gambling stories thread” thread. If you want the latter, you should probably create it. Talking about limon’s mental health issues, while arguably less interesting, is more relevant lol. The whole reason limon doesn’t have a thread anymore to relay his entertaining gambling stories is his mental health issues
