Once upon a time there was site by Andy Glazer that used to do very detailed reports about the WSOP. This ran from 95-2000, he would do detail write ups about each event and give info about who won the mega satellite. All named pros used to play them. This was back when they only ran 20 events.
Something I'm now curious to try, I'd like to see the person I did who plays a full schedule with the rake setup from 95-2000. It used to be $1,500+60, $2,500+60, $5000+80 and the main event was no rake. I can see the rake increased by $10 in 2000, another $10 bucks in 2001, and by 2002 they started taking the rake out of the $1500. Hmmm, might be fun to try that.
