He's on the button, the antes are huge, and A7o is not a hand you want to be seeing a flop with. It's reasonable to try to just win what's in the middle.

Honestly it's still a little too deep to just be shoving, but it's not awful.

The AQ call is 100% standard, because you're gonna see exactly what he saw a whole bunch of the time (a worse Ace) and hardly anyone's shoving AK/QQ+ there, so you are either flipping or crushing.

QFT

Yeah AQ is an easy call here.

If Darvin Moon's Saints cap means he is from New Orleans, that would be a great story.

What 2p2ers are left?

Akenhead Steers Clear of Ivey

In middle position, Phil Ivey opened with a raise to 110,000. Ryan Fair made the call from the button, but James Akenhead re-raised to 390,000. Back on Ivey now, and he put in another raise, making it a total of 990,000. Fair quickly folded, and Akenhead hemmed and hawed and folded as well.

More chips for Ivey! He's just approaching 6,000,000 now.

That must mean he's playing pretty laggish.

You could R/F the A7 here if you're playing against very passive blinds, but strictly as an exploiting strategy. Folding the AQ would be criminal.

Dennis Phillips down to 1.9 mill

It's just a late-stage donkament people, one guy makes a flush on the river and doubles up, another guy loses a coin flip and goes home. It's all random and meaningless, nothing to get excited about, none of these people are heros. Move along.
07-14-2009 , 02:52 AM
6m is what at the moment 4th in chips overall?

Bleh. Oh well, at least she didn't have a huge number of chips to lose, Margets losing a big pot would be worse.
