you know at the that table he seemed so impressed with durrr that in the next episode of PAD, he seemed to try to emulate his game. obviously we've only seen small sample sizes, but it sure looks like he was influenced by him.

Whatever he did, it worked.

Inducing bluffs FTW.

He has always had a very loose aggressive style but very situationally aggressive. i don't think he is emulating Durrr by any means. That would be hazardous to one's health. But it was clear Durrr really exposed him to a play type he was not terribly comfortable with and doesn't often see.

Both Dan Mathes and Joe Cada are from my side of town.

It's the side of town that you don't want any part of, so don't even ask.

Newman Runs Out Rusnak

Just before the break...

Clayton Newman opened the pot with a raise to 80,000, and he found four callers on down the line. The flop came out {6-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {10-Hearts}. Newman fired 175,000 at the pot, and this time only Frank Rusnak came along with the call.

Heads up then, the turn brought the {4-Diamonds}. Newman moved all in for a healthy 960,000, sending Rusnak deep into the tank. With the break clock already ticking down, it would take several more minutes for him to make his decision. Finally, he very quietly announced, "I call."

Showdown
Newman: {Q-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}
Rusnak: {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs}

Newman was well ahead with his top pair and the flush draw, and the {7-Hearts} on the river locked up the pot. Frank Rusnak has been eliminated, and Newman moves up to 3.2 million in chips.
