Its not going to happen? Its probably like 50-1 or so to happen. Not all that unlikely.

Somewhere in a dark basement, Phil Hellmuth lurks...jabbing pins into a Phil Ivey voodoo doll while chanting curses from a book of witchcraft.

50 to 1? You do realize he had over 6 MM and there are 64 people left? I would say he is around 15 to 1 to win at this point.

I mean, how big of a chance is there that the 'greatest player in the game' wins the main event?

I know its not gonna happen but man, if anybody would open their eyes they should see this.
So your saying that the greatest player in the game doesn't have a shot to knock a field of 64 players?

You suck at oddsmaking.

There are 65 runners left. Ivey is top 5 in chips and he has a significant skill edge over the average player in the field. I don't know what his odds of winning are, but they have to be better than 50-1.

Somewhere between 15-1 and 20-1 sounds about right.

Ended day with 6.345 million. 64 left. - Team Ivey

Sounds like it's over for the day.

No, im saying that if poker wasnt a game of skill the greatest player in the game would have a very, very, VERY tiny chance of beating a field of 6494 players.
Or lets rather say, it would be a way bigger coincidence than it already is.

Sometimes he doesn't. It's still an awful play by the Gordo-meister.

Watching the '05 where Aaron Kanter cripples Fossilman and busts Ivey is making me sick.

i am thinking like 21-1 PI ships it.

I think you would get so much action at 50/1 - you may be the only person really into poker praying for Ivey to bust out!

Okay you still care about the 6430 players who are already out (counting me) that's so thoughtful of you.

for the 2000th time in this thread, there is no stream and will be no stream for months.

I predict that Ludovic Lacay will make the final table. He seems like a dangerous player and he has quietly been crushing this thing all along. He was 2nd in chips behind ElkY after day 3 and he hasn't let up the entire time.

Is there a wsop stream up that i can watch it on

Of course i am.
Or did i miss something and Ivey was allowed to enter the event with a huge stack a few hours ago?
07-14-2009 , 04:03 AM
FFS Ivey has 3.25% of the chips remaining and around a 2x edge over the 64-player donkfield in a still-deep format where he is one of the big stacks.

So about 15-1 to take it down. Gogogogogogogogogogo.

Can anyone find thee 2008 Day 6 end chip counts? Would be fun to compare.
