Bluff magazine tweets...

Because of the field size tomorrow no spectators will be allowed in the Amazon room for the early part of the day.

The space for spectator walkways will be used for extra tables to accommodate the field. The will be broken ASAP so fans can return to watch

I will be in denial if Vitaly Lunkin FT's this.

Kara Scott and gobboboy heads up FTW!!

Beauty and the beast!

Is Eric Cloutier really the chipleader this time, or is this another error?

Can't believe Jason Alexander is still in. It will be hilarious if he makes a deep run. Ideally, he would knock out Phil Hellmuth at the feature table by making a runner runner for a straight.

End of day 2a chip counts

This so confuses me. Lists Chris Ferguson with 76,000 in chips, but worldseriesofpoker.com has him ending day 2A with 155,000.

use cardplayer or wsop for official chip counts, also thor 5 bets light?

The Wrath Of Thor

A player raised to 1,700 preflop and the action was on Thor Hansen. He reraised to 5,500 and his opponent came right back over the top to 16,000. Hansen then moved all in for 36,000 and his opponent made the call. Hansen then revealed 3 8 off suit and his opponent tabled K K.

The board offered no help to the cowboys and Hansen doubled up to 77,000.

What am I not seeing. How did Hansen double up?

The link is the chip counts at the end of play, the 155k for ferguson is for when they were last updated.

This is how the Thor Hansen hand appeared on PokerNews:

Quote:
The Mighty Thor Doubles Up

Thor Hansen's last hand went down pretty much as you expect such hands to go down. An opponent opened for 1,700; Hansen reraised to 5,500. The opponent put in the third raise to 16,000, then called when Hansen moved all in for 36,000.

Before the cards were on their backs, Hansen's opponent seemed to know he was probably beat. "I like your hand," he told Hansen.

"Me too," Hansen replied. He showed {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds}. His opponent showed {K-Spades} {K-Hearts} and never improved.

Hansen is up to 77,000.

Anyone know anything about Denise Molloy? Usually the media is all over the "female chip leader" like white on rice, but I've seen nothing, except that she's 18th overall after day 2a with 262k chips.

Guess she's not deemed "hot" enough by poker media standards?

was looking for San Diego players and saw her name near the top.

heh, yeah, a dark horse.

*shrug* just wondering. The fact that I've seen no updates about her (and apparently she's cashed 3 times this WSOP) and i suspect i know the reason why is only slightly tilting me.
