The Rio and ESPN have been ruining the WSOP since they removed the final table from the Binion's
This has been mentioned I think, but if they're gonna wait months only to broadcast a condensed final table a day later when the real fans already know who won, why not let the real fans watch it live? (And make some extra money from us in the process).

I do not think they care about "real fans" as much as money or what they think will bring the the most money

First of all, most "die hard" poker guys aren't interested to watch nl hold em on tv 24/7, we want to see different games every now and then, and thanks to ESPN they made sure that wouldn't happen, there showing 3 nl hold em events other than the main event this year and that's it.
*Begin fanboyism* Ever since Moneymaker took out Ivey back in the 2003 WSOP (luckily), I've said Ivey deserves to win. Not only for that reason of course, Ivey is a great Poker player definitely one of the best. Good to see he's doing well! *end fanboyism*
Crazy that Eastgate got into the top 100 this year, good job to him.
I know nothing about this Darvin Moon guy, but I just have this sick feeling that we're going to see him bleed off a ton of chips and spew his way out of the tourney before the final 9 is set.
This has already been mentioned I think, but if they're going to wait months to build hype only to broadcast a condensed version a day after when the true fans already know who won, why not let the true fans watch it live (and make a bit of extra cash off us in the process)? I doubt this will taint their "Final Table for Dummies" broadcast.
as far as im concerned, its going to be live. i used to have to work during football games so i'd tape the game to watch when i got home and i developed a skill at avoiding listening to convo's of people talking about the game at work. used to tilt the crap out of me when somebody would start talkin about it...i'd be like "LALALALALA" to myself pluggin my ears and what not. sometimes my boss asked me if i wanted to go home early when we were slow i'd snap call.
so i think this will be easy to pull off...just sucks its gotta be that way

I don't think ESPN made any substantial money from the 2006 and 2007 final table PPV broadcasts.
However, those two shows were the best two poker programs I've ever seen by a wide margin. The natural drama of a live Main Event final table is impossible to duplicate.

the casual viewer, which is the majority doesn't care about games other than NLHE. period. ratings drop drastically if the game is anything other than NLHE, this is the sad reality.
I predict that Ludovic Lacay will make the final table. He seems like a dangerous player and he has quietly been crushing this thing all along. He was 2nd in chips behind ElkY after day 3 and he hasn't let up the entire time.
Crushing!!!??? Where's the ****** O'Really owl. On a board containing KQJ Lacay calls a big turn bet with TT. That doesn't seem that smart. River A and he chops with opponent's AT...

That's one lucky hand. I'm sure there were other hands where he was unlucky.
He was 2nd in chips after day 3 and he's still near the top of the leaderboard after day 6. No one else in this tourney has stayed near the top so consistently.
