This is the "World Championship" and for Ivey to be considered the Greatest he knows he needs to win the big one to join the all time greats. For Ivey the money is almost irrelevant here.

Bepe has won a GUKPT event, which is a pretty good achievement. The guy can obviously play to a reasonable standard.

Any (serious) thoughts as to what it'd do for teh pokerz in the UK if he FTs? Heaps of new fishies imo, given his (minor) celebrity status.

honestly that is a +EV bet for you, theres 185 players left so only 5% of players left will make the FT

I noticed at seat 1 on Blue 40 (for today) theres a player called Michael Greco (is this former eastenders actor turned poker pro Michael Greco or another player with the same name?)

imagine if they made the main event winner take all just for one year??
first prize would be like $100 million and the FT would have a HUUUGGEEEE tv rating and there wud be a poker boom 10x bigger than the moneymaker boom... problem solved
