Hachem bust first hand tomorrow, Ivey-Elky-Peppes-LDP Final Four ONE TIME.

JC Tran will FT this imo, hopefully Akenhead and Ivey too.

Just a guess, but if she was using a chip as a card protector, that chip would've been in the pot with her all-in. However, if I had unprotected cards, I'd certainly keep a couple of fingers on them, watch them like a hawk, and scream bloody murder if anyone gets close to them!

Cheers, Carl.

I find it extremely funny that none of the sites have really mentioned Eastgate and his sick run through another huge field he is in the final 185 and haven't even heard his name mentioned but a few times. Pretty sick. Then again I am rooting for the pros such as Ivey and Antonio and Elky

In case you weren't aware he owns a portion of FTP too, and given that PS gobbles up like everyone who performs well in the WSOP, having FTP sponsorship (for those that aren't aware Ivey is affiliated) for a very successful ME run would be huge.

So whats the plan for tomorrow? How many players are they aiming to play down to?

Good question. I'm guessing under 100. Average Stack: 1,053,081.

He wore a FTP hat today.

Seems like the new structure is conducive to some lower-variance survivors.

Ever year in the main event it's the same thing. The average M of the fields floats around 25, and yet the rate players bust it's like the average stack has an M of 8 and each hand they play is for their tournament life. There is so much pot over betting and people trying to double up getting their chips in in mediocre spots because they see a guy at their table who has 5 times their chips, but they do not realize that they have plenty of play left.

Online the average M in most tournaments after a few hours floats around 10 for the remainder of the event, but in the main event it's always over 2 times that. Is there something psychological to it or what?

I remember on 2+2 everyone noticing this in 2006 and saying, "Tomorrow the eliminations will slow down since everyone will realize they're so deep." Never happens

I agree. There are just too many potential story lines to talk about, and even you left one of them out. JOE HACHEM is still lingering in the field. So much play left though. I'm really rooting for Antonio. He would be great for the final table.

I don't understand all the panic either. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for some, and clearly the moment gets to them. That is the only explanation I can come up with. If I were that deep you would have to pry my last remaining chip from my dead fingers.

cts is still in isn't he?

a lot of these pros were at the featured table and the 2nd featured table, meaning the sites had limited access to them.

Croffut's Aces Get Cracked... By Aces

Adam Croffut raised to 44,000 after Tommy Vedes limped in from early position. Michael Casella called out of the small blind and then Vedes reraised to 253,000. Croffut then raised all in. Casella folded and Vedes made the call instantly.

The showdown was almost expected, {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} for Vedes and {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} for Croffut.

The flop came down {K-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} and there was now a chance that Vedes could go runner, runner for the diamond flush.

The turn brought the {J-Diamonds}, making the flush more of a real possibility for Vedes.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Vedes slapped his hands together with excitement as he made the flush. He's now up to 1.4 million while Croffut dropped to 161,000.

What happened to Esfandiari's stack? He's listed at 400k currently.
07-12-2009 , 11:27 PM
That's about as brutal as it gets. Would've been more brutal on the bubble.

If you're using PokerNews for chip counts, I don't think everything is up to date.

He should be higher than that unless he spewed a lot of chips late.
