After a flop of {10-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} Tom Lutz bet 300,000 from middle position and Nichole Peppe moved all in from behind for 1,099,000. Lutz made the call makign this a 2,660,000 pot.

Lutz: {10-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}
Peppe: {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs}

The board came all blanks as it filled out {10-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} {2-Spades} allowing Peppe's two pair to hold up.

Nichole Peppe - 2,660,000
Tom Lutz - 1,160,000

Woooooooop fwiw Peppe is reasonably hot woman, win it all and get the womens playing poker imo

Action Dan Elimination

After a flop of {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} Eric Cloutier led out for 180,000 and “Action” Dan Harrington moved all in for 345,0000. Cloutier called.

Eric Cloutier: {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}
Dan Harrington: {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {7-Spades} eliminating Harrington from the tournament.

Cloutier - 1,150,000

Lauria Moving Up

Bob Lauria was all in before the flop for about 170,000. He held {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} and he ran smack into the {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} of Kara Scott.

Not to worry, Mr. Lauria. The board ran down {Q-Clubs} {10-Spades} {9-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {J-Clubs}, giving him the winning ace-high straight. He's doubled his way up to 350,000 now, leaving Scott with just 90,000.

FU MISTER, POOR KARA

Dang, I was following a guy on Twitter who was in the WSOPME (David Zeitlin, a pro tourney player from the bronx) and just got this update:

"Busted. Fabrice Soulier slowrolled me. Details later."
07-12-2009 , 07:17 PM
almost every slowroll accusation is just the loser being mad. don't expect an actual slowroll to show up.

Kara Scott Eliminated

After having her aces cracked just a few hands ago, Kara Scott came all in over the top of a raise from Paul Baron in the cut off. Baron called the 70,000 push from the short-stacked Scott.

Baron: {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Scott: {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} giving Baron trip fives and the pot to eliminate Kara Scott.

* Kara is the only woman who cashed in both the ’08 and ’09 WSOP Main Event

fffffffffuuuuuuu

New Chip Leader. Akenhead Breaches 3 Million Mark.
James Akenhead has doubled up to become the first player over 3 million chips.

Eracles Panayiotou raised to 26,000 from the cutoff and Akenhead made it 80,000 from the small blind, Panayiotou called.

The flop was and Akenhead bet 130,000, Panayiotou called and they saw a turn. Akenhead bet 190,000 and Panayiotou raised to 430,000.

Akenhead called this time before checking the river. Panayioutou set the Brit all in for his remaining 800,000 or so and Akenhead immediately called with the nuts, for top set. Panayiotou's bluff with was caught completely cold.

What a bluff gone bad

He must be as sick as a swine flu sufferer ater that.

There no way that a well known pro winning the ME could be positive.
Stop the poker hero worship these "pros" won't share their winnings with any of you.

The best thing for poker is for some unknown to win again or better yet a female player.

I really hope sebok makes the november nine. that would be huge for pokerroad.

Can i get an ElKy update real quick like.
07-12-2009 , 07:36 PM
i just thought it would be more of a big deal that he's still in. either way it's kool he's made it this far. Raymer had far less people when he won. also how many world champions left, is it just him and hachem?
07-12-2009 , 07:37 PM
Akenhead FTW
