The hand he had before against the AJ sounded like AA or KK so he should have f*cking learnt his lesson, he deserves to bust playing like the donk that he actually is

and berating a guy for calling a min-raise is so very lol.

Small ball(s) poker is rubbish, as Hellmuth proved in the 2 hands that did him in. In today's hyper-aggressive donkaments you need to gamble it up, play big pots and get maximum value for your big hands -- none of this min-raising, flat calling with aces, checky-check bull****. Imo.

Hellmuth tweets: J-10 off suit on button calls. turn 7, river 3, and i finish 3rd!! Feel pretty bad! 2nd all in all tourney! how the H J-10 call 23k pre?

in general I agree, but from what they say about the ME it sounds like a good strategy. There are so many donks in the tournament that it's a good idea to be super risk averse and wait for really good spots to get a lot of money in.

Last I heard he had gone all in with two black hookers, got called by God and was drawing dead.

Former Main Event champions are doing pretty well. Out of the twenty that entered, six of them have cashed, with four still in it.

Just to pile on, that was an utterly atrocious flat call with AA by Hellmuth.

Dream FT:

Morgan, Dang, Ivey, Benyamine, Elky, Scott, Sebok, Boyd, Ward

I don't hate Hellmuth's play with his AA fwiw. I think it's worth the risk of someone outflopping you to possibly get someone to oversqueeze you and get their money in super bad.
