There are still about 1300 donks left. Loooong way to go and plenty of time for someone to put a vicious Moneymakeresque beat on Ivey. I hope he makes the FT though. That would be good television and you know the other 8 guys would be ****ting their pants.

James Akenhead is second in chips. It will be good to see him go deep; he got screwed at last year's first $1500 NLHE tournament when his AK lost to Grant Hinkle's T4 heads up.

Orly?

I hope he goes deep too! Very good player imo.

He goes down as the greatest poker player in history until someone tops him. He's not quite there yet.

"We'd like to welcome two of the biggest players in the game to the blue section. Both named Phil; Phil Ivey and Phil Hellmuth have joined tables in the section.

Ivey sat down in the five seat with Sorel Mizzi and David "Devilfish" Ulliot to make for a pretty solid table."

Wow massive seats they must have there, doubt Devilfish is too happy about having to sit on Ivey's lap.

He was indeed screwed in that event. T4 hitting the boat on the flop, with the 4th T on the turn. LOL.

Didn't the final table have Chris Ferguson, Theo Tran and David Back on it? With a near 4000 strong field?

Arieh Doubles Through Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth moved to table 43, seat 7 joining Josh Arieh and Alexander Kostritsyn. He sat down and immediatly played his first hand in the big blind in the following hand:

Alex Kostritsyn raised the pot to 5,000 and Josh Arieh called from behind. Hellmuth came along for the ride in the big blind saying "I have a big hand here boys."

The flop came down {Q-Clubs} {8-Spades} {7-Diamonds} and action was checked to Josh Arieh, who bet 12,000. Hellmuth check raised to 28,000 and Kostritsyn got out of the way.

Arieh reraised to 63,000. Hellmuth asked for a count of Arieh's remaining stack, and after hearing he had 48,300 more he moved all in.

Arieh snap called.

Hellmuth: {8-Clubs} {4-Spades}
Arieh: {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

When Hellmuth turned over his hand he reconized the severity of his mistake saying "I'm drawing dead. Good play, kid"

Arieh doubles up with trip queens to 245,000 while Hellmuth takes a hit to 223,000.

Just lol.

The gobbo hand has me wondering what happened, too.

That's correct. There were 4000 players, and Chris Ferguson managed to finish 3rd.

elky to iveys left now

Not any more..

ElkY's New Home
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier is another player on the move. He was handed the card for table 150, seat 4, moving him and his 525,000 chips away from the left of Phil Ivey. ElkY should like his new table draw just fine too, as it puts him in position against two dangerous players. Thor Hansen is in the one seat with 237,000, and big stack Jerry Wong is on ElkY's right with 505,000. With all of those chips on one side of the table, there promises to be some entertaining action.

Lots of pros still alive and running good. Elky, Ivey, Hellmuth, K. Tran, JC Tran, Khan, Benyamine, Hachem, Lisandro, etc. Scotty and Gus busted w/ sick bad beats on day 2. Matusow out on day 2 after being card dead for a long time. Raymer out. durrrrr out. November 9:

Kim - Alive
Eastgate - Alive
Phillips - Alive
Schwartz - Out (KK < AK)
Rheem - Out
Demidov - Out
Suharto - Out

Eastgate was down to 8k at one point on day 2. Went on a mega rush and got up to 100k. Think he's above average at about 200k now.
