Any fullflush sightings?

lol from Pauly of Tao of Poker

One lady was so confused that she thought all the hinjinks were for Phil Ivey. I politely corrected her and told her that Ivey usually sneaks in the back door.

"This was all set up to promote the greatest living hold'em player of all time... Phil Hellmuth."

"Oh? That *******?" she snickered and walked off elbowing one of the models.

Negreanu busto...

Quote:
Daniel Negreanu has been sliding down the board since play began, and we recently overheard the "All in," announcement from the microphone over on the featured table.

Action is hard to catch at that table, but it appears Negreanu called a raise before the flop. When we walked up to the hand, the first three cards were already out on the table, showing {10-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}. The unknown opponent led out with 4,200, and Negreanu moved all in for 6,075. His opponent considered for about thirty seconds before making the call.

Showdown
Negreanu: {3-Spades} {3-Clubs}
Opponent: {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, and Negreanu's opponent let out a big, "Whoa!" Negreanu chuckled and gave him a pat on the shoulder. "A six? You're scared of a six?!" With one card separating him from the exit, Kid Poker watched a blank {J-Spades} land on the river, ending his day and his WSOP for this year.

Chino Eliminated

David "Chino" Rheem was eliminated a short while ago when he ran into a full house from

Jean-Robert Bellande. According to Bellande, he turned a set of queens and then rivered

the boat

The dealer did not immediately muck the hand. Luske and the dealer explained to the player that in order to be entitled to half the pot, he must open his hand, regardless of whether he's playing the board. A floor was summoned to the table who made the same ruling. Since Luske's opponent's cards were still clearly identifiable near the muck, the floor opened the hand.

The floor instructed the player that a future dealer may not be so kind as to not immediately kill his hand and to table his cards if he wants his share of the pot.

you gotta be ****ting me. are people really that clueless.

Apparently so, there was a report earlier of the UTG player trying to check preflop...

What a dik. I've really liked Daniel but it kind of seems like there's always some excuse. I mean, they play 4 two hour levels. He can't power through that? He'd have off Monday and Tues then come back for day 2B on Wedns, right? PLENTY of time to get better.

It's only the biggest tourney of the year and he blows through 30K in chips in less than 2 levels.

Between that tweet....the BS over the HORSE format....the "there's a 1st tier WSOP and a 2nd tier" (all the small NLHE donkaments) I'm seriously beginning to hate this guy.

Why do you care what he does with his life?

hahaha, you serious? This a is a poker forum subsection where we talk about the WSOP and it's players.

It's funny that he preaches a small ball style and in the deepest stack tourney of the year he's bounced in the 100-200 level.

You're kinda right, does it ultimately matter to me/us? No...but this is the wrong spot to ask why we care

Fair enough....I take it back. I REALLY dislike him as a poker player now.

He's becoming exceedingly whiney lately.

Seems like he's been in a bad mood lately.

Probably a combination of life tilt, Lisandro tilt, Ivey tilt, and Brock Parker tilt.

Pokernews says Thomas Dwan busted. Does anyone know if that's durrrr or his dad? Pretty sure his dad (also named Tom Dwan) played in another WSOP event earlier in the series, so I don't know if it's him or not.
07-05-2009 , 09:23 PM
His dad.

Ahhhhhh... Jamie Gold is out.
Nevermind.

A floor was summoned to the table, who listend to the dealer complain that Singer had been berating her.

"David, would you come with me?" the floor requested.

"I don't want to come with you," Singer replied.

"If you harass the dealers it will not be put up with. Come with me please."

"Can I play my hand?" Singer asked.

"No, you're getting a penalty."

Singer was irate. "I'm getting a penalty for her saying she misses me like a migraine?"

The floor then got on his radio and requested a second floor to come to the table. "Is it going to be the same issue?" the radio crackled.

"Continuation," replied the floor. Eventually Jack Effel showed up and pulled Singer aside for a five-minute conversation. We're not sure what the result of the conversation was, but Singer is back at the table now without further incident.

Douche.
Douche indeed.

Earlier today I read Daniel's Blog - He stated he feels well rested, watched a bunch of Rocky movies to inspire him going into today's Main Event. He even tweeted several Rocky quotes.

Tonight I went to his website and to see how he was doing, I noticed he removed his earlier blog and replaced it with an old one.

Apparently on PokerNews his final hand was 33 < QQ

Daniel moves all in on a Board of 7 T 7 and the guy tanks and tables QQ

Turn a 6 river a J and Daniel has been eliminated from the ME in day 1 for the first time in his poker career.

Final Tweet:

"RealKidPoker: Out of the wsop and don't really care. So sick I just need a bed."

it happens

I can see the headlines now...

"Negreanu fails to win Main Event"

They'll be talking about this for years to come.
