Unrelated question: Does anyone know what is the tune/song the WSOP play at the beginning of every event? It kind of sounds like a Wild West movie. I have been trying to find that tune everywhere.

Do you guys think the structure is good for the big 50 and other smaller events generally? I’m thinking of going and maybe firing the big 50 and 1.5k 6-max and shootout events possibly. The structures look good to me however I’m sure late it gets semi crap-shooty but that is standard in tournies I play ($200-500 abi live).

Also the mini main event looks awesome.

“Good” structure is a very personal thing. Some players want their structure to be as slow as possible, others prefer to reach the money no later than the end of day 1.

When do seats typically go on sale ahead of time?

It’s the ME regardless - biggest field and huge amount to winner - no one knows or cares how many events were after while you are spending that $8 mill and looking at your picture on the wall for years after. When did post ME events start? Of course you don’t know because no one really truly cares.

No I get ya. Awhile back they would show the last three tables going and the rest of the room is essentially empty with all of the tables broken down. It seemed to add to the tension that you could cut with a knife.

But now you have several thousand knuckleheads in background playing a 1K

KevMath tweeted yesterday that WSOP registration at the Rio cage was postponed from opening today (April 2) to April 12. Also that online registration will open in late April/early May.

Does anyone know if the streaming schedule is out or if it's going to be similar to last year with streams on both PokerGo and Twitch?

AFAIK only the preliminary broadcast/streaming plans have been publicly released. This is what was published on February 13th.

"Poker Central and ESPN today released the preliminary live coverage schedule for the 50th annual World Series of Poker, which includes start to finish everyday coverage of the WSOP Main Event from July 3rd – July 16th. Additionally, PokerGO will offer exclusive WSOP Main Event coverage that is not broadcast during ESPN windows. The full PokerGO WSOP streaming schedule will be announced at a later time."

That's all I've seen too. I hope they have a lot of mixed games like last year with some of the 10ks having day 2 on Twitch and final table on PokerGo.

The whole reason I subscribed to PokerGo was to watch the WSOP. Now I've got to subscribe to CBS streaming too? I kept my subscription to PokerGo running all year to try to support them but this is a total scam.
