Meh.. I'd like to agree with you but I've watched enough live poker coverage that I've heard commentators often rooting for everyone to bust quickly so they can go home. I'm sure a lot of the crew fell the same way. They just want to go home. I can't really blame them cause I've felt the same way working ****ty jobs.

I def understand the whole wanting to go home sooner rather than later thing - and have def noticed commentators sounding disappointed when a shortstack wins an all in 2-3 handed, but do you think the commentators and crew have any control over how long their shift is?

there are plenty of other tourneys without amateurs where you can watch for good play. This is the ME this is where crazy players should get rewarded.

Kassouf was a villain until his bust hand. During his interaction with Josephy he was a villain because he was purposely wasting time and slow playing. Cliff never complained about the talking until he started becoming a pain in the ass wasting time. It was funny when he called him a clown.

Don't get me wrong though I loved Kassouf. Abd I liked that Cliff stepped up and called him a clown. I just wish it got a lot worse and they almost came to blows. Like when Prahlad Friedman called Lisando a liar and Lisandro threatened to "rip his head off" that was good stuff.


Kassouf would have remained a villain if not for Griffin Benger becoming a super villain. His "check your privilege" line was so disgusting that it exonerated Kassouf to some degree and made him sort of likeable.

That was an all time comment from Benger. It makes him a super villain and not in a good way where you like to hate them. Kassouf is a "love to hate" type of villain. Benger should never live that down. He should hear it every time he sits at a table. The most disgusting comment I've ever heard in my life and I've heard racial slurs and awful things before. Nothing compares to that comment in that spot. He should honestly go to jail or something for that comment for at least a few days. Think about what he said.

Josephy's attempt to turn the table into a team against another player, no matter who, is inexcusable, unforgivable, over the line, disgusting, and should have resulted in a permaban from MGM and WSOP. He is knowledgable enough to know there is only on person you can go to in an effort to have consequences for rule breaking behavior. And we all know who that is. Josephy's attept to circumvent the rules and gang up on a player, simply because he thought the player was violating the rules, was wrong. Period.

Well Jacobsen was pretty well known at the time, and Merson and Eastgate were cash game crushers on stars.

his comment "we're all on the same team here" was in reference to their collective dislike of Kassouf's speech play and slow playing. He semi-bluffed and rivered Niwinski in a big pot and took chips off a lot of players at that table. He was clearly not playing a team game.

Was it smart of him to attempt to get the other players to gang up on Kassouf by speaking out against him? Yes it was, because it resulted in others calling the clock and getting so annoyed it forced the tourney director to threaten Kassouf, made him change his style.
Josephy was trying to see more hands and punish the short stacks.

I'm a little confused - keep hearin gthat Minkin is the last woman left, yet search Hendon or Google 5th place "Karen Goncalves" and she is clearly a woman. Have the counts been f'ed up and it's someone else with a similar name?

It's Paulo Goncalves but they've listed him as Karen!

The only fly in the ointment is that Minkin and Pollak's table will break when 10players have busted. (If they are breaking the last tables listed first?). Then again, doesn't matter too much as Minkin is a favourite to be one of those 10.

Phil Hellmuth's buying an entry into next year's WSOP for the firefighter was a total class move. Just had to say it. Proud of Phil.
