Next hand Josephy opens again and I ship 25 bigs with 77, cliff snaps with QQ. Maybe a spew, I don’t know. I can raise-fold this, j suppose. He’ll definitely muck AQ or AJ for that and probably 88 or 99 as well.

I’m a little down but will be fine shortly.

Pretty sure they’re not going to show my bust.
Ben is also out.

Nice runs Howard and Ben!

Isn't the rule if you have the nuts on the river that can't be matched you have to raise? So K10 on a 10JQA6 no flush board you can just call?

Either way the rule is stupid. Doesn't really matter in this case because I don't see anyway they wouldn't get it all in anyways.

Is this a tourney rule? Never seen it enforced online as I have accidentally checked back nuts

The rule is if you are last to act on the river and have the nuts then you still have to raise... or bet f checked too. EVen on that 4 straight board you still both eventually have to raise back and forth till allin, or youd be penalsed, as you should be if you dont put in the final bet

Darvin Moon did it in the 2009 Main Event and received a one hand penalty.

Disagree. Altman's range was capped and Ivey had the perfect hand to bluff with there imo. Good bluff, good call. Lots of other hands in Altman's range that he folds there.

Is Minkin's luck-boy like her boyfriend or something, or just a semi-creepy stalker?

There's a fair # of hands I'd rather bluff there than a 9 of spades as you don't block much of good hands in Altman's range and Ivey's not deep enough in this spot to go oh I block the nuts so I can bluff shove him off a big hand. That said, I certainly wouldn't have expected Altman to have more than a pair there, and certainly not two pair. Basically seemed like the old "I think he can fold a pair" move that didn't work out.

I think Ivey was kind of unlucky that his opponent had pretty much the best hand he could have in that spot.
