How about the single table satellites? If you have any experiences with those.

No clue on those sorry. The rake is already insane in those so I wouldn't think you could overcome rake + extra tip, but those satellite dealers may count on tips if they are able to take them directly (unsure on this)

Dealers are able to keep all of their tips for single table satellites and cash games. It is also the overwhelming bulk of their income if they primarily do them.

I've got another 3000 posts to read itt (having watched the ESPN coverage on replay and not wanting to spoil the end result), but I just want to know having see Lynskey run deep whether the Capitao has commented yet itt to congratulate him?

The rake isn't insane on the STTs, especially on the higher buyins, it is actually quite low. But even like the $275s are $260+15.

Thanks for clarifying, I think I sorta remembered that was the case but wasnít sure. Yeah clearly a satellite winner should expect to tip the dealer.

Didnít know the rake and shouldnít have commented on it as I never play the STTs

Rake for STS are very low and good value if you are into them.

Re: WSOP 2018 results/tournament discussion (**NO SPOILERS**)

Tip whatever your comfortable with or what you think the dealer deserves for the job they did.

I usually tip them about 2% of my score. So if I ship a 125 SNG for 1k lammers + $100, I tip the dealer a $20.

If I chop a 125, I usually talk the other player into leaving a $20 tip together as it makes choping 540 a piece easier without having to change a $20.

Several years ago I cashed my first WSOP event, 6K in a 1500 event. So I asked the guy what the usual was. He said something like 500 so I left the snake nothing as that was BS

If I was asked to give a dollar amount of what Iíd hope to see a player leave for that score, Iíd say $60-100.

Didn't see this posted. CNBC interviewed Cynn a week ago. Confirms no chop deal was made with Tony.

when the WSOP and other tournament organizers get sponsors to add to the prize pool (like what happens in golf), then i'd consider leaving something. until then, hell no.

edit: thx for sharing the above vid... hadn't seen it.

yeah if he said something like 100 or even 200 I would have just handed it over

But I knew that was insane so out of principle I just left nothing

The fact that he even had the audacity to mention a number just proves how pampered and self-entitled some people in the service industry are in the US because you will never get this sort of thing anywhere else in the world.

That's unbelievable that he would ask for that amount. What a scumbag.

Re: WSOP 2018 results/tournament discussion (**NO SPOILERS**)

Anyone else think that Miles just thought having K-J and taking what he believed was too long and into the realm of slow play was because he plays rather loose and having that hand for him in Cynn's situation would have been the nuts for him despite other hands being able to beat it?

The only cards I could put him on that could be beating would be K Q as I can't see him having A-K or 88s as I don't see him shoving there on the turn but slowing down and inviting a bet from Cynn on the river.

Actually, Miles went to Kassouf to tell him about a 9 high bluff, so that's how they met.
