Re: WSOP 2018 results/tournament discussion (**NO SPOILERS**)

Yes but swapping in a tourney with 24 players is way worse than a huge field event because you get more opportunities to cheat. Calling when the more +EV play is to raise is cheating, but becomes the right play when you dont want you or the guy you swap with to bust.

Selling action is fine but swapping with someone in the same tourney is wrong even if many people do it.

Guy should be networking and making it clear to his friend's that the point of this tournament is to raise money for the charity. The more Einhorn's in this field, the higher the chance that the charity makes more money.

As for the accusation that the pro's are somehow cheating, that is ridiculous. They are either reducing variance through swaps or teaming up to get one person into the tournament. I do both of these things on a regular basis - I enter tournaments I couldn't afford to by selling pieces and I swap to reduce variance.

Am I also a cheat?
Yes of course it leads to cheating

It's baout having an unfair advantage

If you put your own money up - you are under different pressure

As soon as you swap, then you will not only have seperate and secret info - you will also [if you are skilled] be playing differently asgainst different players, depending on who owns what of who

Yes - if this is not announced I would defintely say it's unfair and cheating

Re: WSOP 2018 results/tournament discussion (**NO SPOILERS**)

And 1/20th of what someone's net worth... why on earth should they enter putting up that much of their money... against better [pros] who are not putting up the money themselves

That's stupid

And why should they be persuaded to play for the charity angle - they can do their own charity giving/work - all silly silly reasons

So... you would put up 1/20th of your net worth in a toruney - that you are a massive dog in... and the others are colluding/getting bought in..... you think that is a good idea [?]

I think you have massive blinkers on

And to suggest they should do it because it's 'for charity'... ha... the only charity would be for the pros that are cheating

Guy has long been turned off poker because of the way he was colluded against

The sad thing is, if they had of treated him better - they would have had him and his friends to skin for many years to come... greedy cheating pros

Saloman is on the brink of 3 straight cashes in one drop though so he has profited understandable for him to keep playing.

He wasn't promised anything. The structure sheet says all breaks are 20 minutes, he posted a video where you can hear them announce the break is 20 minutes. So I'm sure everyone would like to know why the break was 15 minutes. I'd be hella pissed too.

lol at that person's nitty politics comment. The US is doing better than it has in a long time. Read the statistics on unemployment, stock market etc.
And the person who said Hellmuth is like Trump, well I suppose they are similar in that they're both bosses and both disliked by young people.

I thought politics was banned from NVG anyway?

Just goes to show how fake and BS the money list is

They should put a limit on it - you can only count wins in tourneys of 10k or less buy in, there must be x number of entrants... and you have to enter the details of each toruney BEFORE it starts - that you enter, and the buy in is taken off your total. You don't reg it... it doesn't count.

Then the list might mean a tiny bit

Re: WSOP 2018 results/tournament discussion (**NO SPOILERS**)

It's a tournament Guy founded to raise money for his charity. If he's not going to be involved in it or in the poker world any more, why should the WSOP host his fundraiser? Instead, they should use the event to raise money for a charity poker players are involved with like REG.

And let's not forget David Einhorn on the money list: 1.52 billion (actually probably closer to 700 million as he got divorced last year.

Hendonmob have this list which is probably more meaningful than the All-Time Money List
