Agree with all of this, particularly the edit. Very much a common thought process among NVG for some reason. If one person says Player A is the worst, and a second person disagrees, the first person then thinks the second believes is the player is the best.

Perhaps it's the Beavis & Butthead line of logic: either something is cool, or it sucks.

Also @WhatsUpGuys, just because Merson was able to overcome his addiction by 2012 doesn't mean he is no longer an addict. He just found a way to manage it, stay clean for how ever long it had been, and good on him for it. But he still has the addiction. Funny, I would think someone who is "too smart" would know these things.

Well, that was some timing. I stayed up until 3:30am ET watching. My dog woke me up and I turned on the TV to see if the tourney was still going right when Miles shoved.

And no, Cynn wasn't slowrolling. His brain was fried and it was a huge decision.

again, i went to bed after Nick and Ali brokedown the 75o bluff hand.
There was only one fold where he could have won, not two.

I mean "would" have won. There was another where he could have but it was no lock.

Tony may have finished #2 in the tournament but he sealed his place in history as the best Main Event sore loser ever.

I'm almost never shoving there with AK or KQ or 88. I'd almost always shove with K8 though.

In what context was he ever going to fold?

Beyond taking a couple secs to recheck your cards to make sure you really have KJ you just call and if yer beat you say "that's poker" whether it's for 38 dollars or 3.8 million. And in his case if he was beat it still wasn't over anyways.

The more I think about it the more ridiculous it was.

You have a 35000 chip lead and u flop underrepped trip kings and get shoved into on the turn by an aggressive known bluffer and you go in the tank? I'd have had an orgasm as soon as he said "all in" and I don't care how out of it I was my chips would have hit the middle faster than that idiot Kassouf could say "like a boss!"

If anyone deserved a nitroll it would be Miles.

Couldn't agree more. We've been pulling for Cynn ever since Cada was eliminated. Loved Cynn's seeming Zen / Buddhist like approach. I do believe he seemed legitimately conflicted during the hand shake (or lack thereof by Miles) and I think it ruined his vibe of celebration.

This could be a real relapse potential moment for Miles. I hope he has a good inner circle around him.

Also, is the rumor that Deeb had a good piece of his action / staked his buy in partially....true?

Even though the KJ was a massive nitroll, Cynn is a very deserved winner imo

Glad it's him if it couldn't be Cada

Anyone who wants to argue that it wasn't silly for him to take that long to call has to swear on their children that they wouldn't have found fault in his play if he had actually folded there. That, even if you could only see his hole cards and the board but not the other guy's hand, and he folded you wouldn't have been like "omg wtf he just folded are you kidding me?"

If you can honestly say that then carry on with your opinion imo.

He took 1 minute for every $1.2M extra he would be winning/losing.

No way was that last hand a slow roll. A slow roll would have been if Cynn had the mortal nuts. Miles shove looked a lot like pocket 8’s and for all the marbles and after 12 hours of heads up take all the time you need to call. A lot of morons on here that play 1/2 wanting to call slow roll that have never been in that spot. A huge congrats Cynn, you showed class throughout the tournament.

It was definitely a nitroll but Miles shouldn't have reacted the way he did. Cynn obviously didn't do it with malice or intent. He meant to do like a 10 second reset and makes sure he was 100% understanding the situation and got caught in his own head a bit. The fatigue and mental grind probably didn't allow him to realize immediately just how long he was taking.

Definitely not a classic slowroll.

Definitely no ill intent.

Definitely still ridiculous and uncalled for a very experienced player and a so-called "pro" imo.

If it was someone like Darvin Moon or the amateur who lost to Joe Hachem it'd be more understandable imo. Although I'm pretty sure they both would have snap called.
