He's not scripted per se, he just usually gets to add V.O. to a previously recorded and edited package. Thus, it allows him to have the information in advance rather than announcing it in real time.

That nitpick aside, I couldn't agree more -- it's pretty rough hearing him do live play-by-play. It tells me that his broadcasting experience has consisted of much more anchor/studio work than actually calling the action. He's excellent at the former.

Grinder is running good, but holy hell they are adjusting terribly to him. He's opening every hand and 3 betting light and not folding, it doesn't take a genius to figure out it's time to open up your value range vs him.
