Wonder what happened - maybe they decided it was starting too late, or something? At least they added the extra stream of Day 2 of the $100k - although, it sounds like that wasn't the stream you were hoping for?

PS. Guess at the tables Joe Cada is one of the more reserved Main Event winners, but he used to contribute blogs to the PokerStars Blog back in the day and they were quite lovely reads, in case anybody wanted to read what he's been up to since winning the ME, including setting up a grind station across the border in Canada, etc:

Table talk at the shootout seemed to go over the line towards collusion 3 handed when Phillips was short. I know they're thinking it's Joes vs. Phillips but the fact is you can't discuss it the way one of them was. I think as a community it's a little too far over the line where we accept this kind of dynamic where two big stacks go after one small stack. Do it, just do it without telegraphing by speech or by checking it down by hammering the table to check (which didn't happen here, but will at other tables).

So the 100k starts with 10 players today and the day ends when they're down to 6. Hope the players try to make it all play out today if at all possible.

They can't. It was scheduled for 4 days. The entry numbers were a lot lower than expected. That's why today is going to be an oddly short day

That's not true. The TD asked the players when they reached 6 if they want to end or not. I think all players have to agree to change anything not on the official structure sheet. They wanted to end it though so it did and will start tomorrow with 6 as scheduled.

The official structure sheet actually says that they were going to play down to three.
The playing down to 6 was decided yesterday, but they were open to going further if the players agreed.

It’s not uncommon for the WSOP to change a structure on the fly. Most years there’s at least one day in an event that goes + or - a level from the advertised structure. The players have little say when it happens

We literally heard the TD ask the players if they wanted to continue. The final table specifically can end at the announced level or usually play 1 more if everyone agrees. This has happened on stream multiple times. The reason they could only play 1 more level those times is because there's a hard stop because of production and other paid employees.

Of course when the structure changes like you say it's not up to the players but that's not what I'm talking about.

I think a major factor in them not continuing was that they were unsure about the time extensions, as they had discussed earlier.
They were unsure whether they would be refreshed once they hit 6 players if they continued. They automatically get refreshed each day.

Just looking through some of the chip counts on WSOP.com and saw Illya Trincher was 68th in the 10k PLO Event. Haven't heard his name since he went to jail.

If you could list the top 5 with no gold bracelet, even better.

The reason I bring this up ....

Allen "Chainsaw " Kessler has to be zeroing in on this dubious distinction ?
Tony Cousineau- 76
Tom McCormick- 67
Yueqi Zhu- 66
Shannon Shorr- 62
Allen Kessler- 60

Another note: Daniel Buzgon has the most cashes without making a final table (37)

The first of the online bracelet events did pretty well. Despite having an increased buy-in from $333 to $365, there was a 20% increase in field size to nearly 3000 entries. Presumably, the player pool benefitted from being able to play for a bracelet from New Jersey for the first time.

I'm sure you didn't realize the stream is not caught up to this but in the future can we wait until the stream has showed the hands before we say things like this? Unless this thread isn't spoiler free. In either case I think the title should say spoiler free or spoilers allowed to avoid this.

Could actually be why he is doing well at the moment. He's breaking the mold of No expression, no movement etc. not something the high rollers are used to in these events.
