Agree with this. HU is usually pretty boring to watch. With the exception of Qui Nguyen running over gordon vayo. That was fun.

Short handed poker is a completely different animal tho so it makes sense. Most people don't adjust or know how to.

What really made it a great bluff by Scott was the ICM pressure he was putting on Ott when Pollak was so short

I feel like there's a lot of hidden $EV in the chance to become the chipleader and table bully while everyone else is playing tight butthole ICM.

Of course Ott seemed to have most of the life drained out of him by that point, so maybe table bully opportunity wouldn't be worth that much to him.

Heinz vs Stazko was really good heads up play. Several chip swings, both players aggressive at different moments. Both making good bluffs, calls and both making a few mistakes. That's the best I have seen at the main event.

ICM often greatly undervalues the chip leader for this reason, as it doesn't factor in future hands given the current dynamic. The CL usually has by far the best chipsEV making ability for the future hands.

I'm late to the party but is the ME FT not avail on poker go in the USA and Canada? Not even replays?

Ugh.. I wanted to support these guys. I wanted someone to produce high quality poker content. I was willing to pay for it.

This wouldn't have been the most egregious offence - but in consideration, the price point is too high. And the fact that I have to jump through hoops in order to cancel leads me to believe me that these guys are scummy and don't deserve my money.

Anybody know how I can watch the VODs from UK? I already have a PokerGo subscription but this video has not been available in my country in USA, Canada and UK. I couldn't find it on ESPN website and whenever I tried using a proxy server I wasnt able to log into pokergo.

I can't believe your mum actually gave you a grand towards playing a poker tournament.

But if he's good he's got 75% of chips in play. 1 million vs 4.6 million ... hmmm .... if he's bluffing 2 out of 9 times it's a call.

Here is your answer from an article by Darren Rovell from ESPN. Shockingly he sold off pieces of his $560 buy in at The Borgata last year that he won $199,000. I don't know if Lon was joking when said Scott's mother had 30% of him in the ME. I hope he had at least 40% of himself in the tournament.

Peter Gerolamo doesn't play poker, but he won more than $40,000 at the World Series of Poker on Saturday night.

Gerolamo was part of a group of friends who financially backed Scott Blumstein, the 25-year-old who won it all and the $8.15 million that came with it.

"I Venmo'd him $60 on July 7," Gerolamo said Sunday from a hotel room in Las Vegas, where he was still recovering from watching the friend he met at Temple University become a champion.

That assumes a lot about Ott's ability to hold onto it, which...well we saw his HU play.

Yes, of course - and if I watch then I will have to do so on YT.

But the point is that it's absurd for Poker Go to not have the rights to show it (even replays) to their customers when the whole thing can be found for free elsewhere anyways.
