Hard to tell from the side since she reached over opposite side of the table, but I didn't see any and she didn't introduce herself as far as I could hear. There were a ton of ESPN cameras and random people around and zero floor people taking control of the situation.

The turn play itself was 6 minutes so sometime during that time if she said "I'm so and so from ESPN and since this is a pivotal pot we would like to show each of your cards to the camera here afterwards in accordance with x waiver you signed" it would have solved everything.

Why are you still going on about this?
All players should show their cards to a camera when requested. Feature table or not, it doesn't matter.
Watch the video I posted.

Yeah, I 100% agree with you. Still scratching my head why she didn't handle it more professionally. I'm thinking I would have gotten a bare-minimum 1 rd penalty for telling her to EAD. Can you imagine being a patient in a hospital and someone approaches you with no id badge or no identifying clothing(i.e. Name badge, scrubs, md coat) and says, "pull your pants down, I need to see your genitals" or "I am going to place a ventriculostomy inside of your head." Lol @ this ESPN noob couldn't put herself in someone else's shoes and think critically about the big picture instead of basic task-completion.

Nope. That was a feature table with hole cams. Different waiver. The general waiver for ESPN does not give them access to your cards whenever the hell they feel like it. You are wrong.

When there are cams/RFID they have full access. In the genera field with no cams/RFID they can only request, they cannot force you to look at cards. Unless the hand goes to showdown you have every right to muck.

It's the same waiver, signed by everyone who enters a WSOP event.

Of course you still have the right to muck your cards. Nobody is arguing that. You can still muck after showing them to the camera when requested.

They can't force you to look at your cards on any street they want. It's funny you guys think how it works.

This is from a FAQ from wsop on the main and espn:

But I heard ESPN is planning to show hole cards, isn’t that true?

Only in very limited instances. First, they are only showing hole cards on two”TV” tables. All other tables will be unaffected. Second, no hole cards will be shown pre-flop at all. Third, once the hand has reached the flop, only players left in the hand have the chance of their hole cards being shown to the TV audience. Lastly, all of this is on a 30-minute delay, meaning no cards are exposed -- ever -- during a hand in play and never are hole cards exposed at the physical table unless willingly done so by the players themselves

He is obligated to show his cards. She, nor anyone working for ESPN is allowed to grab the cards according to how the terms read.

Your wrong bro. That text is for when cams/RFID is present. You do not have to expose cards for anybody during a hand when there are no cams in the table. You are flat out wrong.

that is from the 2014 WSOP Rules. Check em for yourself. Nowhere in that document do the words RFID, cam or cameras appear.

This offer is open to anybody:

If you can prove to me that it is cool with WSOP/RIO for ESPN/anybody to force you to expose/show your cards at the table whenever the hell they please, on any street they please, without RFID/cams I will ship you $100 on paypal. You are free rolling dudes. Good luck.

That was going to be my next reply but I didn't bother as he's clearly just trolling. Probably never even been to the Rio.

The evidence of the WSOP rules pretty much puts you in the position that you have to provide proof otherwise...
