Order of difficulty is definitely 1-5-3-4-2, impressed you got the 'Billy'. 2 is a legendary blowup.

I want the names of the following 'stars' of ESPN broadcasts:

1.

2.

3. Guy on the left, not DF

4.

5.
Doing this without looking at any answers.

Spoiler:
#1 is Nobles, ldo

#2 is Olaf (?) Thorson. We was 1/12 in '03. Called off half his stack with AK high on like a 9 high flop vs Amir Vahedi's flush draw. Vahedi paired the river. Next hand he raised with KK then jammed the Axx flop for like 3-4x pot into Farha's AJ and busted. 1/12 to out in 12th in two hands.

#3 is John Murphy. Made a pretty deep run in '04. Final two tables I believe.

#4 looks familiar but no idea

#5 Tiffany Williamson. Went deep in '05 and was awful. Notoriously spent like 5+ minutes in the tank debating call a 4-bet shove with KJss (Ya know, back when 4bet shoves were like never a bluff and QQ+, AK like 94% of the time)

edit - put them in spoilers just in case

Yep, Olof Thorson, the other Pokerstars satellite winner making a deep run in 2003.
Bill Spadea is from '07, the Yang year.

Pretty sure he is real into triathlons now. Would love to see him go deep as a big middle finger to everyone.

Paul Pierce making the FT would be awesome. November is when basketball season starts though. Wonder what would happen with whichever team would sign him. Guess signing after the wsop is a good idea so the team knows

Good question, I'm sure at this point in his career he's def not letting any team tell him he can't play the final table tho.

What happened to Ivey? I don't see him on top of the leaderboard anymore.

He's in the top 25-30 with about 450k. I keep checking since his name dropped off the top 10.

Phil sitting at about 370k now, with the overall chip leader at his table with over 1million. Let's see if Ivey can run like gold or blowup like Knobles.

Two Minutes Thinking

One player at a particular table is taking a long time to act every hand and it is beginning to annoy the other players, but he is insisting he is within his rights to do so. "I've got two minutes, I play within the rules. I put up ten thousand dollars of my own money, I'm the short stack and I've got two minutes."

He wouldn't be persuaded that seeing more hands was beneficial to him as he had only 40,000 chips left. He refused to look at his cards before action was on him in case they got a read on him. When it was suggested that if he looked at his cards and found, "Eight three off suit." he might fold a bit quicker he replied in an outraged voice, "Now they're telling me what cards to play."

The floor confirmed to his unhappy tablemates that he did indeed have two minutes to make his decision but also told the stalling player to, "Play cards."
thoughts? I hate playing at cash games where people take for ever to act, never played any big tournaments. At least in cash i can switch tables when i encounter slow people.

My thought is he is playing within the rules. If he thinks that strategy gives him the best chance to win, he should implement it.

It's basically the argument for a shot clock and why online time banks shouldn't exist till after the $. (seems like everybody does it every hand no matter how much a min cash is)

He's not wrong because he's playing within the rules, if it's a problem it's because the rules are the problem.

This comment is lol.

No, I dont think theyre telling him how to play cards, they know how hes gonna play cards. WTF would he rant about being shortstack then say something idiotic like this? As if he would ever play 83 off shortstacked and not fold it in his position.

does he think he is going to min cash by folding every hand at this point with a short stack and more than 200 to bust before the bubble?
