It's sick, but this is true. He's not branding himself (although he is a brand/sad as that is), he's selling himself for other entities. On a per-click basis, it's not that much, but it adds up and is valuable for a business.
Other players, use themselves as a brand, and it's apparent that they are only shilling for themselves (but may have sweet side deals): Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, Antonio Esfandiari, et al.
WPT adding him actually makes sense, since the poker populace outside of 2+2 has no clue regarding his role in UB.
