$185,000 difference between third and second, the latter place being locked up if Leng had called the river. Plus, Volpe would've been heads up with an additional $365,000 at stake to play for. It was painful to watch afterwards.

And hence Volpe's saying to Leng repeatedly after that hand "what did you do to us???" as Jungle kept chipping up.

Leng was certainly in his NLH brain on that hand. I'm sure he is kicking himself like crazy right now. That one decision shouldn't take away from the phenomenal series he is having.

I honestly think Leng made the "hero fold" to show off and let Jungleman think "I'm in your head". He turned over the Ace and immediately mucked, all the while staring at Jungle with a super serious look on his face.

Just before the final table he tweeted this:

Looks like an Akuma Cosplay. I guess he couldn't find orange hair dye.

it was only a half-bet more...Jungle prob wanted value from worse Kx and some Jx that say eff it 11-1...im sure Leng thought he would bet all Ax on the turn and never raise a bare K- on the river especially for his tourney life...maybe Jungle was impressed that Eli got him for savage thin value earlier in 2-7 and wanted to pass the thin value on

It's supposed to be DBZ cosplay. He was on Twitter talking about it, and trying to find a Spirit Bomb prop

Also that gesture he made at Leng was meant to be a Kamehameha lol

Yeah I'm learning that. I guess it's confusing when he uses Akuma's specific top and bottoms.

It would be like me saying I want to dress up as DeadPool but show up in a Spiderman outfit.

Would like to know the stack sizes of the other two here. I mean if there's a chance of either busting any time soon then surely the decision by Jungle not to guarantee prolonging his tourney life by at least one more hand is madness by going for thin value for half a bb more. But wtf do I know?

yeah, that takes the cake.

raising for value then finding out you're actually holding the losing hand but end up winning is pretty rare and always such an epic feeling

I think considering what ended up happening after the fold... yes. If Leng had ended up winning anyway it would've been bad but he could've just brushed it off.

This might just be the best poker hand of all time lol. Can't wait to see it on Youtube (lol pokerGO). It just has so many layers to it:

- Leng trapping flop and turn,
- Leng leveling himself into think top pair is not good in lol limit,
- Leng folding getting 11 to 1 when he can never ever fold no matter what,
- Leng folding aggressively, staring down his opponent like this is some "**** you" fold,
- Leng showing his hand,
- Leng folding top pair to a player who is capable of anything and also happens to be a freak with green hair,
- Leng screwing over the other big stack for at least $185,000 just by making this fold,
- Jungle laughing at Leng for making the fold
- Jungle going on to dominate the table and take down the tournament.

Surely I must be missing some points as well?

@RyanLeng9

(3) To the people saying it was the worst fold in the history of poker… I completely agree with you. Saying it was “bad” is an understatement. It was atrocious, abysmal, absolutely horrendous, bottom line.

I saw some discussion amongst some pros that it was actually a horrible value raise from Jungle in that spot, because that’s what he intended. I think that’s the part that screwed up Leng’s thinking.

Of course it was a bad value raise since his tournament life is gone when he value cuts himself

Of course Jungle's raise is terrible there (it's shockingly bad for a player of his caliber). But it shouldn't change Leng's decision.

Leng's explanation of being tired and not in the best physical shape to grind that long makes sense to me. His decision is so bad that it's either a chip dump (and it's not a chip dump) or a total brain shutdown, which happens when you get physically tired.

IIRC, Leng also had an adult beverage a little while earlier and that isn't going to help with stamina and decision making, even if only a little. As he takes inventory of how it all went down, I'd be surprised if that decision doesn't get reviewed.

I feel for Leng because he put himself in the HOF for bad decisions and it's hard to project that he gets into this position again just because this particular tournament is so tough. I admire his ownership of the situation and dignity in accepting the criticism, along with the introspection as to why he messed up.

Exactly. Any K for Leng is a snap call. A jack is a call too. QQ.

And it certainly does not seem like Leng would have an Ace.
