Horseshoe in Hammond is the most disgusting place I have ever been to. The smell hits you like a wall the moment you get into the building.
It's like they have a firepit of cigarettes blazing 24-7-365 for the past 30 years.
You couldnt pay me to go in there anymore, it's like going to a college party back in the 90's.
I play in the Chicago area and I tried to tolerate that place a few times
and each time I kept saying, "the need to flood this place with vinegar for a few weeks to soak up the smell"
I honestly think that is the reason no one wants to buy that place, potential investors walk in and go, "doooooood, WTF is wrong with this place?"
If you play at any other rooms in the Chicago area and say, "Horseshoe, I dont know how anyone can go there" and just stop talking,
someone will pick up the conversation and say "ya, the smell is pretty bad"
If you disagree, it's only because you also smoke and have lost any sense of smell at this point in your life
