Think it could become a thing.
Coinpoker does a great job of that already, without any need for NFT's

Has any poker site that's launched within the last, say, 15 years, not ended up crashing and burning?

NFTs arnt ponzis. LOOOOOOOL. They may be a tool used in them but there nothing inherently scammy about them. They are simply proof of something verifiable via blockchain. All of web3 is scam though.

I dont know what utility NFTs would add to poker. besides thugs like interchangeable entries that could be Xferred and work both online or in brick and motors places. And even then hteat uitility

I would be interested to know what the situation is with Ice Poker in Decentraland. I remember people were paying $3k+ for entry to play there, and were limited to playing a certain amount per day to earn mana.

I saw an article saying the daily active users for the whole game was under 600, I'd imagine very few of those people are playing poker there.

There's still not many videos of it in action on youtube, which is surprising considering it's been out for so long.

Lol - of course there is also the thing that for property tax purposes, land ownership has to be registered via deed at your local courthouse. So that NFT will be a nice digital collectible.

@bobo

ha. Thank you knowing was joking around,

But yeah solana (and other crypto) have gotten slammed

NFT market continues to morph and grow. Im so much deeper in it now.

Some very large web businesses being built. Lots going on both good and bad

Magic Eden (largest marketplace for NFTs of late) raised 170million on a 1.4 billion valuation

Largest NFT project Bored Ape Yacht Club being investigated by the SEC for security fraud.

Major brands putting their toes in the NFT pool

So much money pouring into the blockchain/Web3/NFT

OMG YOU CAN PASTE IMAGES
I TAKE BACK EVERYTHING BAD I EVER SAID
about new owners. They rock and have lovely wives

Mason was NEVER gonna let us cut paste images

This post hasn't aged so well with NFTs in real trouble now. But poker and gambling have been using crypto as a payment instrument since the currencies were developed, and that's going to continue.

I imagine the digital art of the future will be a little more interesting to look at than this Bored Ape BS or that awful Tony G image.

Not to mention ICE Poker’s token (literally bringing NFTs into poker) has collapsed to near worthlessness

BAYC is flashy discussion topic but has very little to do with the potential for NFTs/Web3/Blockchain

if interested. here is good place to start

Maybe a Crypto asset?
Maybe a block chain development environment?
Maybe an alt coin?
Maybe a **** coin?
Maybe an alt L1?

Crypto and NFTs are all ponzi. They have no value beyond what someone will pay for them. I have a picture of my backyard. Anyone want tobuy it for $1000? How about after Tom Brady and Matt Damon say you have to buy that picture? The entire crypto system is built on the thought people will keep wanting it until they dont and become worthless. Spend your money on stocks.

Solana Labs, Inc. is the company, pictured above is their native cryptocurrency. So in other words, the company is a scam.

Yup. total pOnZi scam. Recruiting devs and others to build on chain apps of all types inside Solana dev environment. Total long game con.

Its all so clear now. P.S. INterNet was ponzi too. Rem all those dot coms that went busto ? Glad that got all exposed before TCPIP could catch on and take all our money.

Whether or not Solana is a scam, the coin has lost 95% of value, so maybe stop promoting it lol.

When it comes to crypto and poker, Coinpoker seem to be the most successful company, I've yet to hear anything bad and the software is good.

They also hosted the biggest online hands ever in Tony G's game.

I think it really helps that the currency used is usdT.

Even still I see no advantages of using Coinpoker over a more established site with a bigger player base like GG.

NFT play to earn poker such as Decentraland has got crushed, due to having their own coin ICE go from $0.15 to $0.005 and then the rest of the crypto market falls, making it worthless.

Had Decentraland poker used usdT, or just ditched crypto altogether, I think it could have been successful, with it being the first metaverse poker room.

The internet is providing an actual service, and many early dot company were at least attempting to do so, unlike Solana. Solana is designed to seem all high-tech, futuristic and impressive but in actuality the services they provide are nonsensical and they lure people into buying a worthless token Ponzi-style. You can claim I just don't appreciate the sophistication of services, but if it's so sophisticated, why is it's native currency look like Gus Hansen's online graph? You'd have a better chance going into business with some little girls at a lemonade stand than getting involved with that nosense.

Presumably, now these assets are heavily discounted they are all even better buys at the moment than they were before, so the people ITT who were pumping them are presumably doubling down and investing even more.

Unless of course it was greater fool theory all along.

Assets lol. My screensaver is worth millions. Tom Brady said it is really nice. It is yours for 45k, what a deal. It is an asset you can hold forever.

Your assertion is that the only use case for blockchain protocol is for Cryptocurrency/Defi and NFTs. Would be hard to have an intelligent conversation with you about Solana (or any other chain) with your beliefs being what they are.
