From HSP Season 4 (a few years ago)
Durrrr raises to $3k in early position with JJ. One caller. Antonius in late position reraises to $14,400 from SB with T6s. Durrr calls, other caller folds. Flop A 8 2 rainbow. Antonius leads out $21k on a stone cold bluff. Durrrr calls. Turn comes a K, still rainbow. Antonius bets out $52k with 0% to win the hand at this point. After some thinking, Dwan folds the best hand.
Quote of the day (HSP commentator Gabe Kaplan)
“This doesn’t happen often. Tom Dwan misplays and folds the best hand. But occasionally Manning misses a few passes AND TIGER MISSES A FEW HOLES….”
You can sheer a sheep many times but skin him only once.
Hey, isn't that a poker quote??
Amarillo Slim used that quote to save himself from being killed by robbers once, according to his very funny book Amarillo Slim In a World Full of Fat People. Highly recommended! Or to quote the reviewer from The Independent: "To use a Slim phrase, this book is as hot as a widow woman's love". Obviously I can't approve of everything he's done, but the book is still one of the best Poker books around.
