Who is RaiseOnce on PokerStars? Who is RaiseOnce on PokerStars?

jspill, fwiw that quote is several years old, probably referring to old days when PA still lived in Finland and Ziigmund had just started playing poker. I really doubt he's needed any staking or such in the last few years.

Ivey sat out at 200/400PLO, 200/400NL, 1k/2kHORSE on Stars right now

Its registered in Mexico and there is proof that he has a holiday home in Cabo - watch Poker After Dark PLO cash game and you will hear Dwan asking Antonius about it.
He sits at the highest stakes for limit hold'em, PLO, 2-7 triple draw, 8 game mix, and HORSE - all the games which Ivey used to play on Full Tilt.
He doesn't have auto reload which I don't think he did on Full Tilt as well.
He has fixed stop losses and quits the game as soon as he hits that amount.
He is also willing to play anyone even if they are a specialist at the game like jama-dharma at limit or MrSweets28 at PLO which is a sign of Phil Ivey because he will play anyone.
He doesn't show his hole cards when all-in which is something you would expect Phil Ivey to do.
He plays short sessions and doesn't multi-table in a sense so rules out a lot of the online specialists and this is what Ivey used to do on Full Tilt.
Finally, there is evidence on twoplustwo that Phil Ivey on Full Tilt disconnected the same time as RaiseOnce on Stars in the past.

I believe that there are enough reasons to assume RaiseOnce is Phil Ivey's account.
^^^this!!

Isn't the evidence irrefutable at this point?? I would say that the fact that he's currently playing from Mexico is probably one of the biggest indicators. But the above post makes it clear that it can be almost no one but Ivey. Also, I remember a few years ago he shipped the SCOOP/WCOOP 25K NLHE Heads-up High Roller, which is a feat that few can accomplish. Come on, its Ivey!!

This might be a bit far fetched.. but from what Ivey says in the video above, can it be deduced who he is playing as?

If we know the rough times Barry visited Mexico, and from Ivey saying something like "I wouldn't have raised if I knew he was that short", and Barry saying "It's only 10k", can anything be matched up with PTR and Iveys suspected accounts? Not as if Phil multitables 5k hands a day.

I know that sites are supposed to keep their players info private but I kinda feel like if things were the other way around FTP would make an infomercial if their competitors played on their site.

Surprised hold_emnl hasn't reappeared.

Whoever this RaiseOnce guy is (I'm going with Ivey myself) - he took over $240,000 playing 1/2k HORSE in the early hours (well, in the UK anyway) this morning, absolutely crushed his opponent (a Russian player). Believe he's still sitting there now.

Ringo, in that video he was playing on FTP not Stars as indicated by Barry mentioning it's a good thing they play on separate sites so that they can sit there side by side and play no problem.

Aah, well spotted. I was just thinking out loud, more than anything.

It's an interesting video regardless. Nice to get an insight into Ivey playing online, getting frustrated, being human

Ok but I can definetly hear Pokerstars sounds as Ivey is playing on his laptop.

This debate is so fkn old. It's Ivey, end of story.

It's Ivey.

Just like we all knew Blom was Isil. (FWIW I was told by a very well know British pro who runs his own site).

Yesterday, someone from Spain was sitting with this name on 25NL tables

I think this account was deleted. And some guy from Spain was able to pick it up and register.

So RaiseOnce legent is over.

GG

why would they delete the account? And why would someone immediatly reregister it?
01-14-2012 , 02:06 PM
or it was just Ra1seOnce or Raise0nce or ... or you are just trolling ;-)

They've spelt it RaiseOnçe. Not the same player.

Just add RaiseOnce to your PTR buddy list, spelling is right.
01-14-2012 , 02:15 PM
I'm pretty sure that was a different name. He played 100/200 plo yesterday, and he was also sitting at 1k/2k TD.

No it isn't. PTR sometimes gets confused when players have very similar names. The real RaiseOnce doesn't have a cedilla under the c, so RaiseOnçe is a fake.
01-14-2012 , 02:21 PM
yesh probably it is just PTR bug in buddy list

it finds RaiseOnçe and RaiseOnce as same player

LEGENT alive again !

sorry
