Humblebrag, I busted both Negreanu and Greenstein at the same HORSE event a couple of years back (beat: still didn't cash).

Greenstein was quiet but very friendly to everyone the whole time. Didn't get a book though

Renegs on the other hand would play it up and be super friendly for the cameras and to any moderately attractive female nearby. If cameras were gone, or you weren't some known commodity, complete opposite. He has a very fragile ego.

Raymer is very friendly at mix games, played with him several times and always good table talk.

And for someone less famous, I'll throw Scott Davies out there as probably the nicest person I've ever played with at a poker table. He's a good friend, but never seen him say a mean word to anyone.

Huck Seed is super chill, played a long session with him few years ago. Thurritz is very friendly, seems like an awesome dude.

Moneymaker always seems super upset when he loses a poker tournament. I swear no one runs worse than Chris Moneymaker. I feel he would agree with me there.

I've dealt to Barry Greenstein three times. The first time I didn't even know he was there until I left. The other times someone got him talking and he spent the whole time telling great stories, like how he coached a young kid named Phil Ivey and how he became the all time play chip leader at Poker Stars.

Super nice guy, happy to talk your ear off if you want or sit quietly and play if you don't.

I second Kirk Morrison. Rarely plays though. One of the good guys. Won a bracelet way back in '98.

So many dbag talkers, Kirk is someone who talks and adds to everyone's enjoyment.

Good call on Kirk Morrison. Wonder what he's up to now. Amanda Leatherman too for that matter. Dennis Phillps always seemed like a great guy, Darvin Moon too.

Well if that happened no one would know who the hell he was anyway unless he happened to get on the feature tables which is unlikely.

Barry is a great commentator in terms of story telling for sure, wish he'd do more of it.

Played with him a couple times this past spring. For someone that mainly grinds the sub $1500 events full of recs he had amazing patience, chatty at the table and extremely humble about his tenure playing poker. Called me by name second time I played with him.

There was even an incident where a player was unaware the blind level had changed (was not announced and he had come in from a different table, our dealer had already announced the change) and Eric genuinely felt like the player was at a disadvantage by not being informed after making a call for the lower denomination as a short stack.

when Koon was in the million dollar cash game he was purposely not tanking to be friendly with the business men. He seems like a really chill dude.

I've always had great experiences at the table with Kenna James.

You could make a good case for Julius Colman who's currently running deep in the main. Definitely one of the nicest guys in Australian poker.

Friendly? No way. More like socially awkward and a table stiff. He doesn’t interact with the table at all. But I understand your plug, I would do it too

Seems like whenever I caught him on PNIA, he was always whining and complaining about others' "inferior" play. He strikes me as a nice guy when he's winning but a bit of a jackass when he's not.

Now people can change but both before his November nine fame and afterward he was always a good natured friendly down to earth guy. I have to admit to not having played a tourney with Dennis for about two years now but he has always been a class act when he returns to St Louis from what I have seen.

Again I can only speak from personal experience - He is human, can scowl when he gets sucked out on (I am NOT nominating him for Sainthood) and yes he can actually get irked at times but he buries it well. But I have never seen him get out of line, pound on his chest and act like a jerk or give the How dare you beat me with that trash attitude. He certainly is gracious with anyone that comes up to him and talks with him in every instance I can recall..... but again it has been about 2 years for any first hand contact.

Phil Galfond hands down. Fanboy'd him years ago, and then played with him this year in the PLO8 that he won. Very humble, extremely polite, cordial, and open to being needled and having fun.

I'll second this! Nick is intelligent, articulate and humble. Given his poker pedigree he could affect a more lofty attitude but he never does. I played an event this year at the WSOP with Brandon Shack-Harris without knowing who he was until much later. What a classy man he is, good natured and friendly with a very pleasant personality. Not a bad looking guy either and I can see why the girls (female dealers too) go for him. Seemed like everyone who knew him at the WSOP came by just to say hello. He is extremely well liked, that much is obvious.
