I played in a Venetian Deepstack with Doug Lee in Mid-May. Having been a fan of the Doug Lee toolbox thread since its inception, when Doug sat down at my table (6 levels in), I was beyond giddy.

He proceeded to open about 80% of pots, overbet the flop on every one and was 4 or 5 re-buys deep within an hour of sitting down. On one of his rebuys when he was below starting stack, he tried to lay money down on the table to top off after he was already dealt cards. Dealer refused, so he called the floor over and wasted 5 minutes needlessly. Criticized others play also acted out of turn constantly...I honestly couldn't tell if it was on purpose or not. Either way, pretty ridiculous for someone who's been playing as long as he has.

Of course after the rebuy period ended I pick up 88 in late position, raise and Doug shoves in the SB for about 80% of my stack. I call. A on the flop. I bust a few hands later.

Doug went on to win the tournament.

Went to college with him. Didn't know him well, but we had a small class together and he was a pretty quiet guy. Friendly and funny when I did interact with him. Can't imagine him being a huge tool.

I think its pretty significant to note that the WSOP ESPN coverage was on in the poker area when Phil Helmuth busted, and there was a very loud celebration.

Agreed. There was an interview with the guy on pokernews. He reckoned he was a big winner online. BS. I don´t like to stereotype but where did such a bad player get 10,000AUS to enter this tournament. He doesn´t strike me as being a brain surgeon or an architect.

Maurice Hawkins absolutely deserves to be in the thread, even though he's currently getting a lot of goodwill from the community. He's awful for the game, and he's banned from a lot of places, but it should be all of them.

I think almost all of the names mention qualify. Lots of attention seeking idiots these days and some who are just a-holes. Personally I can’t stand Negreanu anymore. I liked him back in the hay day of HSP, but he has been way worse than Hellmuth for years. His opinion of himself is ridiculous.

While not a player per say, I can not stand Joe Stapleton. I can’t believe he is on tv for the WSOP. He is a horrible comedian and not funny at all.

People who couldn't get into medical school end up being dentists. And comedians who couldn't make it in Hollywood end up being poker comedians. He is horrible and I have no clue what his purpose is.
