I don't know any of these people irl, but the older I get, the more obnoxious I find the poker boom era version of Phil Hellmuth. Annoying dweeb who thinks he's entitled to win everything and constantly whines and berates people (usually after they outplay him). Huge d-bag who wants the attention and has a me-first attitude about everything.
Maybe he's calmed down with age (at least he doesn't do those obnoxious main event entrances anymore), but he comes off so badly in many of the old main event shows where he has a meltdown any time something doesn't go his way. You know that deep down people like Ivey and Doyle probably think he's a huge clown.

Clearly, you're an idiot from Northern Europe.

+1 on Hellmuth. Played with him once and can confirm arrogant, annoying, and not very good at poker.

On gregorio's advise.

Look, you hate the guy, fair enough. We all hate some people. But you're coming up with ridiculous reasons to justify it.

Point is he is trying to be this "I know best and I shall keep peace and order" type of person through which he (again) is trying to show his superiority. Why does he have to open his mouth the first second somebody does something he perceives to be wrong? In the first case the people complaining about the clock are distracting the player and it won't stop the floor from counting down. Make your case after the hand if you want. In the second case why didn't he wait for 3 seconds to see if this angle even did anything before completely destroying the action and getting the floor involved. If you see damage was done then you have a perfect case for bringing that up but he just has to open his mouth right away.
These are character traits that are just obnoxious and far from humble. If you disagree that's fine and you don't have to find this annoying yourself but don't call it ridiculous.
edit; actually this is pretty funny. The google result that showed the video was actually a 2+2 thread. Max apparently has a twin that I didn't know of and more people seem to be confused about that, so I gave Max some **** he didn't deserve. Also many people agreeing with me it being a horrible move. Funny how things stay in the family though. https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/3...shman-1382209/

100% Seiver. Guy is an unbearable "elitist" type. Super arrogant. Plus, apparently he's a Socialist? Which is quite ironic for a professional poker player that complains about high rake and payout structures in poker tournaments and lives in a state with no state income tax...He wouldn't last a day in some sort of labor/working class type position, yet he's a Socialist? Lol turn in your iPhone plus and ship half your income to D.C. then, Scott.

I nominate all the poker players who sit at the tables, say not a word & tank forever for every single decision.

After watching DNegs trying to upstage PH on his entrance, DNegs is THE biggest butt-hurt ego Poker Player ever. What an azz clown.

Re: Who is the most arrogant/annoying poker player on the felt today?
Scott Seiver or Shaun Deeb.
Both seem to love themselves a little bit too much.

Re: Who is the most arrogant/annoying poker player on the felt today?
Smarmy, lispy, speech impediment smug, whistking S's Max Steinberg is insufferable.
So glad he busted like that. A horrible call with AA.
Ive been in both those spots in a tournament on the first hand many times. I ALWAYS fold it now(for years) without hesitation. Either spot its an auto fold for me so seeing this made it all the more gratifying.
Spare me the math, its an auto fold for me.

Re: Who is the most arrogant/annoying poker player on the felt today?
Only known pros that I take exception to are DNegs and BarryG was way out of line to a truly casual fan one time I saw but I hope, and trust most accounts of I'm, that this isn't the norm.
