First of all, agree with Srsly that arrogant and annoying are two different questions.

Secondly, OP is looking for examples, and while he could easily find these himself, I'll indulge. Note that I don't necessarily agree with the below nominations (although it's hard to dispute Kassouf), just answering the call to show someone's work.

I was playing PLO at the Wynn earlier this year and he showed up with a group of friends to start a 10-20 NL game in the section off the main floor. Within 30 min., a good number of the tables just picked up and left, including all the PLO games. He/they were so loud and obnoxious, it was honestly unbearable. My game basically restarted at Aria 20 minutes later.

God this guy is so full of himself its unbelievable. But everyone at the table is always best friends with him because he dumps 10k a night.

I must've seen Kassouf 5 times in Vegas in the past week. Not just at the Rio either. It's like we were following each other. One time he got bugged with the "9 high like a boss" stuff by some fans and took it well. Took pictures with them and was friendly enough. Not saying that makes him a great human, but I doubt he's really the worst.

I don't know any of these people irl, but the older I get, the more obnoxious I find the poker boom era version of Phil Hellmuth. Annoying dweeb who thinks he's entitled to win everything and constantly whines and berates people (usually after they outplay him). Huge d-bag who wants the attention and has a me-first attitude about everything.

Maybe he's calmed down with age (at least he doesn't do those obnoxious main event entrances anymore), but he comes off so badly in many of the old main event shows where he has a meltdown any time something doesn't go his way. You know that deep down people like Ivey and Doyle probably think he's a huge clown.

PErsonnaly, cant stand Selbst. Her views on life and her tendencies to consider anyone who isnt a "progressist globalist leftist" as an Untermensch is a proof of her lack of intelligence and tolerance. (pretty standard nowadays to pretend to be on the tolerance side and at the same time to act like a totalitarian leader when someone doesnt agree with you) -> For more on that topic, read books from Guy Debord

Coming from someone who is twenty miles to the right of ted cruz i tend to agree with you, although regardless what you think of her its impossible to deny that she is a really smart person in and out of poker.

She is obviously a very smart, competent and intelligent person. No one could disagree with this. But imho, there are many different forms and expressions of intelligence. Having a PHD or being at the top of the poker ecosystem for quite some times doesnt prevent you from being outrageously inconsistent when it comes to preaching tolerance while being so intolerant with anyone who wont agree with your political, social or ethical views.
