The world champion of poker should be a fan of limping UTG.

I think these two would be worthy champions from a more skill than luck viewpoint.

They seem to have personality and panache that the others lack.

Gates would be a great story.

Hossein has been around the German poker community for a long time and is a really good guy.

I just want someone to win because they pokered the table, not because they ran ridiculous.

Of course they did. I meant the final table which I assume is what the OP meant.

Seems weird to complain about rungood at the final table though if running good before that point doesn't matter.

I'm personally cheering for chaos and a good ICM blowup or two.

Was about to post the same thing!

Can't recall a more annoying poker player on television...and I've been watching for 15 years!

So it looks like all of the unpopular ones are already out. We have the fan favs and the villains left which makes for good viewing the next two days. Livingston might have gained a few haters with his QQ fold

Holy cow. With 515,000,000 chips in play, conventional assessments would indicate a winner would be resolved when the BB is 515,000,000/20 = ~25,000,000. Extrapolating the Structure Sheet, that puts the expected finish at Level 54. With a half-hour left in Level 38, restarting tonight, expect there to be a LOT of poker left before this gets wrapped up.

Expect heads-up to end with a major cooler and for Day 10 to be a marathon of attrition.

It won't end until the average stack is 10BB? That doesn't even sound close to right.

When the BB equals 5% the total chips in play is when a tournament typically ends. For super long levels you may want to tweak it down to 2-3%.

Settle in.

Last year, the ME FT ended with the BB a tiny bit above 1%. 2016 and 2017 it ended with the BB well below 1%. In 2015, the final BB was 1mil with close to 200mil chips. That’s 0.5%.

We obviously don’t know what will happen this year and especially HU play is extremely unpredictable but it’s probably less likely to even hit level 45 (let alone 50 or higher) than to end before level 41 is in the books.

If anyone expected this thing to go anywhere close to level 54, there’s no way they would have stopped play after 3 hours on each of the first two days of final table play.
