You are only a french fry sir
so you are saying he wants higher variance when ahead and lower variance when behind?

Isn't the whole point of running it multiple times to spread out your variance? I'm not sure why it should matter to you why someone else wants to run it multiple times. If you have a problem with it maybe you should always run it once vs that player? Personally, I just do whatever the other person wants although there are certainly advantages to always just running it once.

Banning a fun player for selectively running it twice is really stupid.

Serious question...Does anybody think J Tilly is up in her poker career? Every time I see her play, she's getting crushed. Note: I haven't watched the latest PAD

Wtf are you talking about, she is as much a poker player as an actress.

Given that the vast majority of players are down lifetime in poker, I'm not sure how a question about whether a wealthy actress that you always see getting crushed is up in poker can be construed as serious.

It's possible. I think she's probably serious about wanting to succeed in poker in addition to wanting exposure for her acting career. On PNIA I have always seen her win or not lose as much as all the other players who aren't top-level pros. And she's married to Phil Laak.

I think there's a good chance she could be break-even or a small winner in cash games but not in tournaments, even though she won a WSOP bracelet. For all we know maybe the Chucky movie people stake her in tournaments, and she might play in and crush some Hollywood cash games too. But whether she wins or loses she's great for the game and entertaining to watch.

Tilly has loads of money from her divorce settlement with Sam Simon apparently. Irrespective of her poker skills I think she's always super sharp and witty and just very likable.

There is no way she is not down a lot in poker. She can't be any where close to profitable with some of the things I have seen her do.

Agree because he is the fishiest of fish. He is "fun" in a sense he brings money and action to the table but his move to Norm was BS. You can't run it once when it suits you and then twice when it suits you. It's one or the other and stay consistent.

Its an unwritten rule of cash games that give that option.

Agree- she will be excited for a card to come whilst all in that doesnt help her hand. She doesnt even know the hierarchy of hands sometimes without some deep thinking.

Apparently you can and apparently he does. You seem to be the only one in this thread with a big problem with it. If I'm playing with him he can run it however many times he wants whenever he wants.

I guess I am the only one playing semi friendly cash games with that option.
Trust me- thats the "rule"

Have to add Dusty Schmidt (Leatherass) to that list. I don't think there's a bigger Trump fan on the planet. Add that he's a longtime successful player with a strong personality. I think it would make great TV. I like your idea.

No offense, but your home 1-2 game you play with friends doesn’t count as a substantive sampling. Literally thousands of players will run it once or twice depending on a variety of circumstamces. It doesnt change EV like an angle does, so stop treating it in the same vein as an angle. It’s not, and only morons would ever bar a player from playing a cash game because he “sometimes wants to run it once”.

Some players flip flop on running it once or twice
When I used to run it twice,if someone flip flopped on me I would only run it once with them from that point on.
The exception would be if the player was a huge donator then let him have his fun.

You think we would give two craps if it was a 1/2? It's funny how people online disrespect others in the drop of a hat based off limited ( or their lack of) knowledge.

I am telling you that in the big games this is the rule. The kind of games there's a line of guys that want to get in because its such a great game. Play by the "rules" or get blacklisted

You obviously have not played big stakes but if you ever do and want to stay on the invite list, you will thank me.

Is this why every big televised cash game that has ever ran which allows running it twice literally always has the players discuss how many times they want to run it, every time an all in comes up? Because I'm pretty sure my memory is correct on this one, and it sooort of ****s in the face of your entire post man

I don't think you're making it up and I'm not saying you are. I can imagine that in some private games (which you play I suppose) it would be frowned upon, or as you say mean immediate ban. That doesn't mean that it is the norm in the highstakes private poker games world, because it just isn't. Mostly because it's not a very reasonable thing to get upset over since it's impossible to angle and anyone should be allowed to decide to run it once when tilted or whatever if they want to - but if both players agree to run it some other combination of times then go right ahead ofc

I would love to see Charlie Carrel on this show. I think he would add a lot of entertainment value as he is pretty interesting to watch.
