question about pokergo here (semi-related to PAD):

the search function like never works for me. for example, i wanted to go back and watch the return of tom dwan episodes. if i search "tom dwan" nothing happens. if i search "dwan" then it searches. anyone have these weird issues?

I like guys like Polk, Torelli, Ike. They have a good theoretical strategy. Has Fedor ever been on PAD? He's methodical as well, only I hate how he takes forever to make decisions. Speed it up, man.
Also, guys with big mouths like Hellmuth, Tony G (if he still plays), and Matusow. Get a few drinks in them for the LOLs.
And the big donkeys, like Dwan. Every show needs a good donator.

i just re-watched some of the tom marchese episodes (whine and cheese).

hank yang is hilarious. my understanding is he's a high stakes reg in vegas. the guy is funny + unique + entertaining and doesn't nit it up.

i know guys like jeremy ausmus/dan obrien are good players but are boring on stream.

and ill say this for the 100th time. hellmuth is truly awful. not talking about just poker, but in general. plays tight and all he does it talk about himself. he opened TT and negreanu 3b JJ and hellmuth tanks for like 5 minutes and folds. and then for the next 10 minutes talks about how great of a fold it was and how he runs so bad to run into JJ. he then takes a 20 minute break. comes back. and continues to talk about that same hand.

edit: 1 hour later, hellmuth brings up the TT fold again. get this guy off the stream

He is just nonstop talking nonsense.

One of the asian guys folded AK pre, Garrett folded AQ to a raise and a 3b ahead of him. People make tight folds pre in deep games guys

Randall might be the most annoying guy in poker. I've never seen someone so needy of validation.

Who makes the highlights on Pokergo? They are truly awful. 6 hours of play cut to 13 minutes.

It's live now and I watched a little of it before they took a break. Pretty nitty play all around, a tremendous come down from the Triton Million Euro game. I saw the Asian girl (Nguyen) win a hand with A,4c and show her cards to the guy next to her after he folded. She acted like she had made some great play. Other than that she doesn't appear to interested in watching any of the other players during hands she's not involved in. I don't see one strong player in this game! It's more like, "Look at me I'm on TV!"

The game was supposed to be 200-400 with a 50K starting stack minimum. Instead they are playing 100-200 with 20K starting stacks. All and all, pretty disappointing for what is billed as a BIG game. Obviously the players have some money to play in this game, but they all look like amateurs.

Berkey checks the turn with three J's and Nguyen hits Broadway on the river and he cries about it, "Why didn't you bet the turn?" He should have added, "for me."
Nguyen and Adelstein have a little love fest going, lol. So sweet.

300k pot Berkey has an open ender. Garret wants to run it once but changes his mind. He is ahead with 2 pair. berkey smashes the straight on first run out.

Peters has A,Q and Berkey Q,J and Peters raises to 6K pre-flop and gets called. Q hits the flop and Peters bets 15K and gets called, The A comes on the turn and Peters bets 25K and Berkey lays it down. Peters then launches into a long winded brag about what hand he had, after Berkey showed his Q. Berkey says you had A,A and Peters says no, but you were drawing dead on the turn. That leaves only A,Q (or Q,Q) so Peters has basically told him his hand. He continues to gloat while he stuffs his face, so proud of himself for winning the last pot and bragging about how he hit the flop and turn. The big boys would eat him alive!

Peter's donks off 30K to Wang with top pair. He didn't take ten seconds to call 22.5K on the river, clueless that he probably could only beat a bluff.

Galfond better teach his wife how to lay down a hand. She rode top pair into the dust just now (and -25K).

Peters on monkey tilt, giving back all his $200k+ winnings to finish approx even for the session. If it weren't for the game ending he would have continued tilting off his buy-in as well.

I'm an hour into day one, and I have to say, Randall has been a delight...
He's talking at normal volume, even had that funny exchange where he called Garrett out for eye-f*cking him, isn't screaming and yelling.
