I can't find the article, but I remember reading that Berkey got backed by a wealthy financier that he's friends with. It sounded like the backer was more interested in supporting a friend/sweating action than evaluating their arrangement as a serious investment opportunity.
Berkey's play is certainly inconsistent. If you watch the 'Dead Money' series he talks a lot about the staking and living on the edge of his BR. Apparently he was 'the draw' to the high stakes games in Vegas and then won it all back, whether from 'better' play or just running hot, don't know.
I think he played some suspect spots when Perkins was in the lineup to try and draw him into better spots later but there were others that definitely need some better explaining off camera as to his thinking. GL
Daniel and Phil were talking about how "This will be the last one til August"
... Last one?
Ya, they're moving stadiums(?)... They'll still have the high roller bowl and tournaments but no poker after dark until August
Did anyone else hear that?
Is that true, if so, I mean I'm for sure out

This is awful news.
I thought they would put together some great lineups during the summer, because of how many people are in Vegas.
I did hear that conversation and was a little taken aback by it, but they do have quite a few WPT Final Tables and the SHR events on their schedule. I'm much more interested in how they are going to improve their WSOP coverage this year ... with my subscription rolling over in July that will play a pretty big influence.
I think DNegs was a bit bored playing 'so small' and the action was pretty tight. At the end I think he was just trying to spice up the stream a little. PHell's fold 'playing for the YouStake people' was pretty bad and I don't really think anyone who really actually paid would've minded the call. JAusmus did get a little unlucky in spots but made some curious non-plays. I'm not sure what stakes he normally plays but maybe he didn't want the 'wife and kids' to see him wiggle around with 'so much' cash. GL
we need more PLO. and not just with all pros. The lineup with Galfond, Durrr, Haxton was boring. Maybe bc I watched the Aussi Matt episodes first.
People want to see blood when we see PLO. We want to see how these pros adjust to amateurs and maniacs. not just perfect ranges clashing which results in a whole lot of x/f spots and no hands making it to the turn. I had such high expectations but it was boring. You need Durrr, an Aussie Matt, someone like Ben Lamb who can interact and keep it light, ect. Racks of Lamb week line up was great. The big cash game with the top pros was a snooze fest. Put Aussie Matt on every PLO show or someone like him that forces these pros to adapt and puts them in difficult spots
With the right lineup, a PLO game can be crazy action and big laughs. I think the nature of the game facilities that environment more than NL. I'd like to see PokerGo put together an 8game stream. Funniest conversations and stories I've heard at a poker table were usually a mixed game table.
I'd even be interested in watching Gus Hansen, Aussie Matt and some businessman play 3 handed Pineapple OFC. Can't be worse than that dating show.
I'm admittedly out of touch with the poker world, so I'll throw out this question: what would be the ideal-yet-plausible PLO table?
By "ideal," of course, I mean the best players to watch. But by "plausible," I mean players who would likely get an invite from the producers. So I'm looking for a combination of those two factors.
