What is wrong with the guy that is using the megaphone thing? He uses the f-word every other word. I swear a bit myself, but that is really bad and vulgar. How are they allowing this?

He is drunk on power. Has high social status and lots of money. Treats people like they don't matter. In a few years he won't matter. Hope he can handle the same treatment.

This just shows you how much $$ is still available in poker. All the showing of cards. The guy in late position (Sanchez?) saved the game by playing almost all of his hands and somehow being able to stay around $50-70K.

I am/am not surprised that DCheadle was still so tight. He doesn't push his money around like the rest of them, but that does hurt his overall game as well. He finally used his image on the last hand of the night by using the Ace on the Board against the table. He plays 2/5 the same as 100/200 though ... I played with him in Cincinnati a few years back. cheadle is pretty tight from my 10/20 nl experience

and this doesn't at all show how much money is available in poker in any meaningful way

even good players with the right financial backing usually can't get into games with whales like this for big stakes. and that doesn't even take into account that 99 pct of good players can't play anywhere close to these stakes

PokerGo/PokerCentral VP is on joey's podcast right now:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQ6YJR1JSnQ

I asked the following:

"How do they think that allowing players to use megaphones at the table will be good for viewership? This must appeal to some non 2+2 demographic. One player already stated he will walk if the megaphones continued, but has remained on the table. I turned it off after about 5 hands"

VP said its unlikely that the megaphones will return for tonight

Been streaming it for the last 20 mins, appears watchable today!

$500 72 rule is gathering some excitement, with Antonio getting it back to back when it started

This might just be the softest cash game ever "televised". I don't even...

AQ raises, JJ 3b otb, call. Flop Q66r. Check, JJ cbets 5k into 6k. AQ c/ships for 70k. JJ calls.

Games like this need to be shown on mainstream TV, instead of the nerd-fest GTO tanking tournaments that are shown. Get the poker population to emulate this would be pretty nice.

This kind of highlights how uninteresting PLO is IMO.

Def agree that it would be great if more people got to see action and a dynamic like tonights game.

NL is more exciting to observe than PLO is. NL allows for a lot more creative process, pure bluffing, and creative lines. In PLO you're locked into certain lines and sizings and you'll virtually never run pure multi street bluffs. All this simply because if you deviate largely from "good 101 play" in PLO you get destroyed, while in NL there's pretty crazy shenanginas to be had.

It really is off topic, but this difference is exacerbated the higher the level of play gets. You almost never see a HSPLO hand where you go like "wtf was that?" and it's almost standard to see bat**** crazy stuff in HSNL hands. In PLO the craziest thing you'll ever see is someone check/jamming 2pair on a paired river to rep a boat...

edit: I mean, I just now opened up the HS thread in this section and this is literally the latest post. What is the equivalent to this in PLO? It doesn't exist, and this hand isn't even anything rare
