Really enjoyed watching Zang especially going after jungle, watching him needle "jungle fish" in broken English is priceless. I think its weird how in these HS games players fold and someone at the table just grabs the cards and looks at them w/not a care in the world. The only thing PAD is missing is Nick Schulman's silky smooth voice analyzing the hands instead of Ali just relaying the action.

I think this largely is due to it being televised with holecards so they'll know in 30 minutes anyhow

Is the story of Doug calling the cops on Rick common knowledge? Maybe I misunderstood but seems like there was mention of that on the first night's episode.

Definitely not common knowledge. That was the first I heard of it and I can't find anything about it online. It'd be interesting to hear Doug talk about it.

You are right that PLO is less solved, but so many situations play themselves. NLHE is more dynamic in the way that you can do a lot of weird **** with some weird ass hands. In PLO you just can't do weird **** ever or you get demolished, you either have the equity or you don't. You don't run pure bluffs, you don't bluff jam before the river, you don't do anything weird really. NLHE allows you to be crazy in a whole other way.
I agree that generally speaking PLO is a worse game to watch in comparison to NLHE, but there is still potential for really exciting games. One or two super aggro VIP's will make pros start 3/4betting pretty crazily and games can be ridiculous action. The Trickett private PLO games on PartyPoker with Leon, Matt Kirk etc are a great example of this.

In this kind of PLO game a lot of spots still play themselves, but to casual fans shoving over a pot size bet in a 4bet pot with middle pair and a gutter will look insane. I hope PokerGO tries another PLO game in the next couple months or so, but NL is a much better spectator game.

I'd really like to see the introduction of mixed games. 8game with no cap could be a lot of fun.

Really liking this week so far as I slowly catch up. Perkins, Salomon, and Zang are great for the table. I mean really great. Alot of fun and just great to watch. OPINION I do think some of the pros in day 1 were shocked at the cavalier attitude to hands and the sheer speed it was being played. Haven't got to day 3 yet.

Random thought.

While I do really think it's cool as hell when guys like Doulg get everyone at the table to pretip the dealers, especially for tourneys or sit n gos, what about in the cash games the players have a stack of reds and tip per hand?

This isn't a big deal or anything like that, just think it'd be a cool thing and also it might be good to encourage players out to be kind to your dealer.

Who the heck is Berkey btw? Does not seem like a poker pro. He just randomly popped up for these cash games, never heard of him before.

His podcast with Joey is good, and also there is a feature on him on PokerGO called drawing dead, definitely worth a watch.

Just watched all 3 "Return of Dwan" episodes. Great entertainment.

Klein, Roberts, Bellande and Kirk make a nice mix of players to make for an entertaining game with the "superpros." Bellande got bullied, Roberts is a very weak player, but Klein has got some moves and some balls, he just took a stand against the maniacs in a way we've all done at least once. I think Bellande would've fared better if he was playing with 150 or 200k in front of him, it certainly looked like he was in some spots where he could play his hand right with a shorter stack, but with a deeper stack he just hung around until folding on the turn or river far too many times with middle pair type hands.

I'm just gonna skip the Haxton/Polk/Rast/Jungle etc lineup. That really doesn't sound interesting at all, and certainly I can't see it making interesting TV. Any highlight reel hands come of this?

This Zhang/Perkins/Solomon/Adams/Haralabob lineup should supply some entertainment. Would love if there was 1 or 2 well known sharks in there instead of someone like Adams. I mean, does Adams have any sort of fan base? Is he a whale that brings in players? What is his appeal? How does he get invited to this sick lineup? And why does he now somehow look like an east indian businessman? Swap him out for Robl or Dwan and this game would go through the roof. Oh now Jungle has joined this lineup, so it should be a great mix, haven't seen much of him before.

Starting to get thru day three and gotta say, bring back A A Ron, the Zang. It's cool to see him loosen up a bit and be more comfortable and talkative and like someone else said, be a sick ass end boss. For real, laughed my ass off with that $600 bet into the huge pot.

Huzzah

He should've cottoned on sooner to the reality that ace high is never good at showdown?

Yah, it was hard to believe Zang was the same person from day 1 to day 3. He might have said less than 10 words on day 1, but it's understandable as English is his 2nd language. Didn't know he had so much personality in him, and he's got a lot of game too, I'm a fan for life.

I'd love to see a future week centered on him. "Yin and Yang Week" the marketing writes itself!

I got the feeling Zang has played a lot with Jungle, and is currently playing with him on one of those private app games, and having him at the table seemed to really loosen him up. Dan seems to handle himself very well at the table with recreational players and ESL folks, etc. Good skills to have!

I always assumed that's his poker face so he confuses the other players by looking miserable/scared.

Flat Earthers believe there is a giant ice wall on the edges of the earth. That is why people don't fall off.

+1 to all of this. Also, no overbets in PLO.
