If you force having this personality by being super talkative and fun, it ultimately comes off as having zero personality, due to the fakeness of it. If Patrik smirks only once every 10 hours but genuinely, it's more fun.
I agree totally with this. I'm not saying to have the internet pro's should try to fake it. They should just put people on the show who are interesting to watch play.
They can try a few nerdy whizzes to see if they are entertaining if they have no previous TV time to judge from. If it doesn't work out or they seem to be "forcing" it they just won't get invited back.
You don't have to talk a ton to be entertaining. For example.
Ivey
Durr
Antonious
Coleman
Jungleman
All top players at one point if not still to this day. All talked about the same, but the top three guys I always enjoyed watching. The bottom two I didn't enjoy watching at all and don't care to ever see them play again.
To say you have to have personality and talk a lot is oversimplifying it.
